  2. As the title states. I have 2.3.7 running on both computers. with three folders being shared as three different syncs. Two are working fine. One does not want to sync between the two. I've made changes and moved files around on computer A, but it won't sync with computer B. How do I restore the sync function without losing all the changes and files that I've moved around duplicating themselves as if I started from a fresh restart?

  4. Nothing on this part yet? Advanced folders are pretty unusable on linux like this. To me it feels like the linux version of resilio sync currently only is a "server version". I use it on my NAS and it works great there. The NAS syncs everything and is owner of the files. But on my laptop I want the advanced folder to sync only a few folders/items. And that currently sucks very hard.
  5. I've sent in two support requests over the past two months related to Sync not functioning on my Synology NAS's anymore. On one I treid a new install. It still won't open the web interface and allow me to reconnect the device to my devices. But anyway, there has been no reply whatsoever.
  6. SOLUTION: Can I Connect Two Pre-Populated Pre-Existing Folders? This explains how to change the folder on the destination device. However, why Sync chooses a random folder on its own is beyond me. Their should be an option for the sync to not begin until the user is asked to select a folder on the destination machine. And finding this information should not be so difficult!!
  7. UPDATE: Unable to get this working, I decided to delete the existing folder syncs and start over. Why is starting from scratch so hard?? As it stands, I have two computers with Documents folders that are 98% duplicates. How do I get Sync to sync these two folders without creating new folders and recreating the files? When I create a folder Standard Folder on either computer, it is immediately recreated on the other computer. But on the second computer, Resilio automatically sticks everything in C:\User\Resilio Sync\Documents. Why? In addition to that folder, I know have a second and identical Documents entry in File Explorer on Computer B. And why is there no way to change the folder easily?? I can find none. The user should be able to pick the folder on Computer A to be synced and the folder on Computer B that should be synced with it. That seems simple and obvious to me, but it obviously is not. Sorry if my frustration is spilling through, but this should not be that difficult. Thank you for any help you can provide.
  8. How do I get Sync to sync the correct folders? Here's the situation: Sync has run beautifully for a long time on two computers, A & B. Computer B recently had a BSOD problem and windows was reinstalled. After the Windows reinstallation, I successfully resinstalled Sync and transferred the Sync license key from Computer A to Computer B. Sync started immediately, but using the wrong folder on Computer B! It started copying everything from Computer A's correct Documents folder to Computer B's wrong location (C:\User\Resilio Sync\Documents). I'm not sure why it created the Resilio Sync directory, but I need Sync to sync documents to a different folder (the original Documents folder, which was on a different hard drive than Windows and is still intact). How do I get Sync to point to a different folder? Thanks.

Synch starts with all folders with paused synching and despite right-clicking and selecting Resume Synching, it is stuck on pause. no green checkmark to show things have synched or anything. all the other buttons in the menu work but the one that I need and is the whole point of the app doesnt. I can't sync anything with it stuck on pause. restarting both the app and my computer doesnt do anything.
  11. The forum literally got updated since this thread started. That said, I don't think they have a lot of manpower. Headcount is pretty small for a product that effectively competes with Dropbox, OneDrive, etc. and has far wider platform support. I think the reason I'm not too worried is my Pro license is lifetime free because I helped beta test during the app -> service transition back in the day. If I were a paying customer hell yeah I'd be mad at service tickets not being replied to. So I can certainly see where some of you are coming from.
  12. I mean, of course. As I said in my 2nd reply on this thread, it's super weird to call a project with a software release within the last calendar year dead without an official announcement. But some folks enjoy panicking 😛 🤷‍♂️
  13. So that's good news to a certain extent. But they don't seem to be responding to support tickets from Resilio Pro/Home customers which isn't cool.

I'm not sure what's going on, either, but if we assume whatever has resulted in the current situation started when forum mods stopped posting here months ago, then it's reasonable to assume all the developers should have been gone by now. They aren't. Well, I just noticed a "Quote selection" feature and the ability to move quotes on the forum that I haven't seen previously, so it looks like maintenance is still being done. The worst case scenario would be Pro and above licenses suddenly failing to validate, thereby crippling the product overnight (even if technically it's still functional.) Personally I'd have no choice but to move to SyncThing 🤮🤮🤮 at that point. I kinda doubt that happens without warning, though. If it actually is abandoned but the licenses keep working; then it'll just keep working until underlying OS changes prevent it from doing so. For example, if they don't update the app to support Scoped Storage (mandatory in Android R) then it'll definitely stop working on Android. In fact, if you use Android I'd call Scoped Storage the biggest threat to P2P workflows. Bigger than Resilio Sync going under.
  15. That's bad news. Since the services and relay servers are still working, what's the worst case scenario here?
  16. So it looks like we should assume that they laid off most, if not all, of their support staff. I wonder if they did the same with the programmers.

  18. I sent a short support inquiry, just asking "are you still answering this support request email?" about a week ago. (I may even have written "is resilio dead?") I suggest you do the same to confirm the obvious.

  21. I've had a look through the forum and couldn't find an answer. Is there a way to ignore files that are larger than X size? I'm aware of the ignore list but no mention of file size. Is this something only available in the Pro version perhaps?
  22. Hello, Been banging my head against a wall on this for a few hours now. I'm trying to start the Reslio service via a batch file that would then by run at X time via the Task Scheduler. Problem with this is that I am getting an "access denied" as the command needs to be run in an elevated cmd prompt. The basic command I am running is: net start rslsyncsvc I have set the logon account for this service as a local admin account and have set Task Scheduler to run with highest permissions etc but I do not seem to be bale to run this bat file with a simple double click or even including runas /savecred /user:............ in the batch file. Any ideas how to get this running without having to manually open an elevated cmd prompt? Thanks and cheers EDIT: I should have also stated that I can start the service fine manually from Services or right click and run as admin. The kicker is. I have a 2nd identical Win 10 box that has the same batch file an only contains: net start rslsyncsvc If I manually double click or add into Task Scheduler the service will start with no problems/questions and USC is set to the same default on box boxes
  23. Same here. After sticking to version 2.5.12 for a while where this issue doesn't exist, I upgraded to 2.6.3 1340 where the changelog states that this issue is fixed, but it is NOT! Again had a bunch of files that were resetted to 0kb. This is really unacceptable - how to trust in a tool that actually deletes your data?!
