  1. Ok, thanks. I guess I will stick with Syncthing for now. Any chance this thread can be updated if this is ever fixed?
  2. I do use BitWarden. Unfortunately, it does not work with the type of authentication Resilio Sync uses. That still doesn't answer why I am being forced to use authentication anyways when I am on a secure network and don't need it.
  3. I tried that before posting. It gave me an error that password fields cannot be blank. This is a docker install.
  4. Does anyone know how I can disable the webui authentication? I hate that this is being forced on me. But, before I switch back to Syncthing, I thought I would check here and see if anyone knows how I can disable this.
  5. In Windows 8.1 you can set a network connection as a metered connection. When a connection is metered, the OS will limit downloads that are compliant, ie Windows Updates, Metro Apps, etc. An example of a metered connection would be an AT&T hotspot that has 10GB of data per month. The Windows device would connect to the hotspot via Wifi and the Wifi connection would be marked as a metered connection. It would be great if BitTorrent Sync had an option when installed on Windows 8.1 to limit or pause syncing automatically while on a metered connection. Here is the information needed for the developers to add this feature. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh465399.aspx
  6. It has been reported a few times in the forums that not every version will get auto updated. 1.1.48 is the most recent. If you want a later version, you will need to download it and install it manually.
  7. I have a Zyxel NSA-221. It has been running BitTorrent Sync for months using the fun_plug. I tried updating to 1.1.70 yesterday, but I got an error. I tried 1.1.69, but got the same error. Error is "Alignment error" I then downgraded to 1.1.48 and it worked. Is this something that will be fixed in 1.2?
  8. Thanks for the link. I had only been able to locate .17. For the developers: How hard would it be to modify this for the ASTEROID Smart car stereo. This stereo runs on Android 2.3. It has no camera, so it wouldn't need the photo backup feature and it doesn't have a large resolution, I think it's 600x480. They do not include access to the Google Play Store, but have their own market called ASTEROID Market. https://www.parrotasteroid.com/asteroidmarket/ https://devzone.parrot.com/ It would be awesome if a customized version would appear in this market. One that might be able to schedule a system sync at night until a time period has passed or until complete, whichever occurs first. You might even be able to get them to send you a free unit to test on as this would be a big deal app for them to have in their market.
  9. Does anyone know where I can download the latest Android ppk file? I want to install this on a Parrot Asterisk Smart, which does not have access to the Google Play Store.
  10. The links are always updated in the forums before the website. I think they want forum users to test before updating the site.
  11. That's what it's supposed to do. Once there, you click Download and an internal popup gives the links.
  12. Hi Andrew, Why not just install BitTorrent Sync in WHS? You won't have the webbased gui, but you can use rdp to login and set it up. Eddie
  13. You will need to enter the listening port of the BitTorrent Sync client that you are trying to connect to. you can get this by opening up the Preferences tab.
  14. Try using the predefined hosts option under General preferences. I would recommend making sure both machines have a static IP.
  15. I ahte to state the obvious, but what happens when you try?
  16. The app is still in alpha stage. There probably won't be an API for awhile.
  17. There is an update. Version 1.1.15 has been released through this forum. If you go to the main page of this forum, it is a pinned thread that gets updated before the clients do. All version 1.1.x versions are not compatible with 1.0.x versions, so you will need to update all of your installs.
  18. Or an even better option would to have BT enable a feature request voting system like UserVoice. This way, instead of wading through multitudes of threads, we can just vote on existing requests. This would allow everyone, especially the developers, to see which feature is requested the most.
  19. One thing that would help on your list of machines is the exact version number each one uses.
  20. The auto update on the NAS/Linux version just let's you know there is an update and gives a link. It doesn't automatically update btsync. You would still have to use SSH and update it yourself.
  21. You can simply install the new version which will automatically upgrade the application. Due to the new version being drastically different, it will need to re-index all of your files.
  22. If you right-click on a shared folder, there should be an option called "Connect mobile". This will show a QR code that your mobile device can use. If you don't have that option, it is likely you are not running version 1.1.15 and will need to upgrade as earlier versions are not compatible with the mobile versions.
  23. The latest version is 1.1.115. Don't forget that Bittorrent Sync is in alpha testing. It is fairly safe, but not completely without issues.
  24. I removed the .sync folder on two devices running 1.1.115. As soon as I try to add a shared folder btsync crashes.
  25. I just tried 1.1.15 with the same results. :-(
