Looking further into this, it seems to have happened mainly to new files added 11 days ago, and it looks like the same happened a few months ago as I am finding old files. I currently have it set up where I have two Windows 8 machines both with 2 x 3tb drives in them and I have two sync's setup, Drive 1 to Drive 1 and Drive 2 to Drive 2 so we both always have the same file structure and files. Could something have happened where the software has messed up what files are the newest and is there any way of fixing these .!sync files?

I have been using the software for a while now without any problems, but today I have just noticed that loads of my files now have the extension !SYNC e.g. filename.pdf.!sync and I dont know why? I have tried changing the file extension and removed the !SYNC but the files wont open. Its happened to about 4000 files and important ones too, and I have no idea how to fix it. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have been using Aero FS up to now and want to move to BitTorrent Sync but wanted to clarify a question. Setup: Comp 1 with HDD X Comp 2 with HDD X The Hdd's have been synced with AeroFS up to now, so all files are up to date, do I just add the folder to BitTorrent Sync and share it with the key and the software will be able to see that both are the same and that there is no need to modify any files?
