I'm trying to get two Windows clients to sync locally without using a switch. This is because I'm trying to get them to sync using 10 gigabit network cards, and 10 gigabit switches are considerably more expensive. So far I've just tried plugging them into each other and that hasn't worked. One is running Windows Server 2012 and the other is running Windows 8.

Is it possible to use BitTorrent Sync as more of file server software and just download whichever files I choose from the remote computer?
