  1. I am also among those who ask developers to reconsider 10 folder limit in free version.
  2. Thanks for your work! Why doesn't it allow to input hostnames?
  3. tuxpoldo, may be you can implement folder_defaults.known_hosts & peer_expiration_days in advanced dpkg-reconfigure settings?
  4. Thanks, tuxpoldo. Your last suggestion helped. After purging install completed successfully. One little thing I noticed: you have to re-run dpkg-reconfigure btsync manually after initial configuration to set umask & listening port.

  9. I tried upgrading with self created configuration file but failed. Moved my configuration to backup place, tried to install from scratch but also failed. Let's hope that tuxpoldo's fix will work.

  12. Restarting btsync daemon helped. As always, thanks for the hint, tuxpoldo!
  13. Bumped into a sync issue with debian x64 & windows 7 ultimate x64. How come?
  14. Just check out this post and don't forget to do this for every user.
  15. Seems I also have to take ownership of the acmodeu.conf file itself. Worked like a charm. Thanks for the help.
  16. As long as I set DAEMON_UID variable btsync can't start. May be there is something else that should be done?
  17. Yes, I do. I can't understand why can't btsync act as system user e.g. btsync with own group. It would be much simplier for everything. Just add desired user to the group and voila.
  18. May it is possible to implement a method to set group for btsync in order to get access to synced data without setting 0000 umask or being root?
  19. Once again I would like to return to umask and btsync odd behavior: 0) I have // DAEMON_UMASK=0002 in /etc/btsync/debconf-default.conf 1) I have "Archive" folder syncing with Windows machine with following rights drwxrwsr-x 19 root btsync 4.0K Oct 22 17:20 Archive 2) I copied "test_folder" with "test_file.iso" in it to the "Archive" folder on windows machine. 3) And here is the syncing result: ls -lah /var/lib/btsync/Archive/test_folder/ total 19M drwxrwxr-x 2 root btsync 4.0K Oct 22 17:20 . drwxrwsr-x 19 root btsync 4.0K Oct 22 17:20 .. -rw-rw-r-- 1 root root 19M Sep 6 14:16 test_file.iso Why did the group setting changed to root on test_file.iso instead of staying on btsync?
  20. Guys, U R supersonic! BTW .SyncIgnore file is created with rwxr--r-- rights.
  21. Hell no! After uncommenting DAEMON_UMASK=0002 string in debconf-default.conf btsync pretends to start but the webface becomes unavailable and telnet probe to connection port fails. ps ax | grep btsync shows only grep btsync. After reverting the changes everything backs to normal.
  22. One very stupid question - does btsync need both tcp & udp ports open or tcp is enough?
