    seems that sync over a wlan wothout internet is not possible with android only device... if i take a router without dsl cable and two phone connected only to his wlan I can share with resilio if I use an android device as hotspot and I connect 2 android device to his wlan I can NOT share anything can you help me?     I need to share a key with other resilios... I can create a link. I can create a key I can NOT create a qrcode !! Think: there is no fastest way to share a link with someone and you can read a qrcode but noone can generate it... seems foolish...

    I think to have th same or similar problem! My android with BTSync (Resilio) 2.5.5 (7111) can sync with other device on the same LAN only if there is an internet connection !!! WTF ??? No problem with other devices (windows\osx) on the same LAN without internet connection. How to fix it ???

    Same problem here but… eureka… I fix it. Here is how to fix: 1) uninstall Sync 2.0 2) install BTSync 1.4 It will works fine 4ever !!!

    I am not understanding what differences will result from the pro version. Mobile to mobile is already featured in the free edition. And (up to now) seems that large folder are not a problem on the free edition. Sync only some files is today possible (only) in mobile edition... Isn't that true? If yes why I have to update to a pro version or even to a new free version? (The only way for you is to broke compatibility with older version and remove features from the newer free version but... look... there are something new... and open... something called SyncThing...)

    Tried to edit sync.conf file with chmod 777 and restarting but my device name not changes... Whats wrong? Why there is no a webUI shortcut to this edit?

    Consider letting more option as you can. Let people set the app as they want as done for the point 1. For example would be nice if the "use 3g"\"use wifi" option would be configurable for each folders instead only as a general config ;-)

    @RomanZ: 1 - Very nice! Just founded on the advanced pref into the new 1.4.44 :-) 2* - Knowing this and considering first point I should considering not so boring sharing also a folder name but I think that should be better to let deactivate with a flag every new option. As just done for "use key - copy key instead of links" you could considering adding a flag for "share folder name with link". 3 - Sorry for my bad english. @ICE has done better. 4 - Very happy to read this !! Hope to see it soon :-) Hoping to see BTSync more used and spread asap… (some user was scared by the "beta" status but now I am thinking that BTSync has become to "heavy" for standard user… *maybe moving all new nice options on an advanced preferences should prevent some ultra-basic user to run away …) Thanks: Have a nice day… :-)

    Sorry: I forget to underline that all my point are about mobile (Android) version. And as you say… there is no mechanism to access (an easy way) the simple plain key. This is very boring. But the worst thing (and is not a news) is that you can not share with read+write permission a folder on your phone. (You could but only was previously shared by a desktop)

    Ok title should be "what's wrong IMHO" because new version has introduced features that could improve security (or error prevention) for basic user but now usability for basic and normal user is lower. And if you use Sync since a year you could not disagree the following 4 points: 1) key as url is nice but… Where is the simple key? On android I noticed that I could no more share key without url. I think that you must reintroduce an option for sharing plain key not only via QRcode! 2) You will get a link with the name of the folder you are sharing. This could be nice but would be better to get as an option and not by default. You could edit code by hand removing last part but is boring. 3) Now you can set limitation to the key such peer approval, expiration, max user, … But you have to disable by hand any time if you want a standard key and you could not set your custom limit as default. This is not limitation but is boring. 4) not a new point but with mobile (or at least android) version you are still not able to share a folder with a read+write key. You could add a read+write key (created on a desktop device) to a folder or create a readonly key but you could not create a read+write key directly from your mobile. Let me know if I am wrong. Maybe I not see the right flag or advanced menu… otherwise spread this... Thanks a lot. :-)

    On mobile version of BTSync you could activate or deactivate sync on a 3g wifi network but this could be set only for general settings. Should be nice to let set 3g\wifi sync folder by folder ;-)

    Up to now with you mobile you could only generate a full access key only from a pc\nas and not from a mobile ? Why? This limitations seems very stupid and ugly! Up to now with my mobile I could generate a read only key or ADD a full access key (generated in anothe place) !! Let be the mobilephone able to GENERATE a read\write secret code as windows\osx\nas can do !!

    At the moment still no way to share a folder from a mobile phone with read\write code. You have to own a pc to generate a full access secret. That is ugly.

    I suggest to enable android (or mobile) version to generate secret in order to share in read+write mode a folders of the mobile phone without using a pc. At the moment you can only create e read only (backup) or sync a read+write folder created with a pc !!!

    If I want to sync a folder on my phone I follow this steps: a - open BTSync b - my sync c - add a folder d - select a folder e - ... here is the problem! I HAVE TO scan or paste a code... I could not generate a code !! Why? instead of go to "my sync" I could go on "backup" c2 - select a folder d2 - click next e2 - ... I could copy\share a read only code... why not a full access?

    In my opinion the problem is to set a default .syncignore in order to avoid a manual creation for every folder you need to sync ignoring something like "@eaDir" folder on synology or "something.some" files on other folders... Is it possible? How to?

    1) Why on android version of BitTorrentSYNC I could see how many devices are connected to my sync but not the name of that devices? 2)Why I can not create a sync with read+write permission but only a read-only one or sync in read+write a folder created outside android version? 3) should be nice have also an history log. 4)even with this limitations I think (IMHO) that this project is mature and the word "beta" is no more usefull ;-) Can someone tell me how\why\when the first 2 limitation will be broken? Thanks you a lot...
