  1. anyone else getting spam from Japan with a 'Dear iTunes Customer' subject. This was one reason I remove Resilio from all my PCs and went to Spideroak, that and the files disappearing into the archive folder, random renumbering of files and even some text files going from 1 and 2 k to blank files.
  2. Just got this email addressed to the unique address only used to sign up for this forum. Some data removed for security.   3. I looked for the dump file but don't see it, the newest files are logs from Nov 1. When I log out of this standard user account and into an admin account Resilio works OK. As soon as I log in to the standard account it crashes.
  4. I copied your instructions and will send logs next time it hangs, thanks. I don't remember which PC had the problem, I have 6 running Sync.
  5. The gui screen comes up but sync says (not responding) in the title bar, this is from the log. After 30 seconds or so the not responding message goes away and I see '1 of 1' or how ever many peers that folder has. If I click on a folder the message comes back but then after 30+ seconds I do see the folder's contents and the error goes away again.   7. I removed 2.3.8 which was an upgrade over time from 2.2.3 or 2.3.1. Now that I did a fresh install of 2.3.8 using the windows service option my NAS drive does not show up when I try to add folders. How can I get this to work?

  9. Can't read the entire error message because it won't fit on the screen but it looks like sync is looking for a folder I removed a few days ago. I took a PC (acer 522) out of service and replaced it, so peers online shows 1 of 2 on each PC. I think I read that the old PC will drop off after 7 days. Is sync still looking for the old folder on the missing PC? My peer list for folder drivers says 1667 files are coming from the far end (ind-nas) but the status column of the GUI on this end is blank and progress shows 0% - a few seconds. The status bar in the icon tray says nothing is being sent.
  10. thanks, was curious and did not see that in any FAQs. I paused 6 low priority folders to make sure more useful files get sent first and noticed the PC at the far end does not show paused in the status column, maybe you could add that in a future release.
  11. sorry, did not take a screen print. I was on 2.3.7 which was updated from the 2.3.6 install package. The message said something about not being able to contact the server. This was right after I started updating 2 other PCs on that LAN.
  12. I changed one PC running sync that keep my 2 NAS drives synched. At 1000 Tuesday folder 1 had 2972 files left, by 1530 2580 and is at 2564 now (2345 Wed). Folder 2 was 11,689 at 1000 and 1530, by 1100 Wed is was 9625, now at it's 9535. Other folders are still the same size How does sync decide which files get sent first?
  13. The check now button failed on 1 of 4 PCs on the same LAN. I shut down sync and restarted, worked that time.
  14. This was from my devices, when I opened the devices window just now all Peers Online are OK on 2 of the 3 PCs I can check. Win 7 has Show BitTorrent sync minimized and refuses to move it to the desktop.
  15. One folder on PC acer says peer asus is offline, but at the same time says it is downloading 14 files from a different folder on asus. Asus agrees that acer is offline for the 1st folder but is sending files to the other folder to acer. Another PC has 2 folders synched with 2 other PCs, one folder says 1 of 2 peers are online, the other folder says 2 of 2 are online. When I click on options / help / help center I get this error on multiple PCs. ERROR The request could not be satisfied. Bad request.   16. PC A peer list shows 3474 files to B, B peer list says 3457 files to B (not A), but nothing is being transferred. It's been stuck like this for a couple of days now. I stopped and started sync on both PCs, both are running 2.3.6.

  18. I figured out what was happening. I did an install on a new PC and it worked fine, then it dawned on me that the failed installs were on PCs with 1.3.109, which was still working almost flawlessly (an occasional name.conflict file was all I had to complain about). I forgot you suggested to remove the old version, so I was installing over it. I guess you should change my 'advanced member' title to 'Mr. Moron'. I did another PC just now with 1.3.109 and the same thing happened, no icon or program after the first install, so I installed a second time and it came up. Do you still need my log files? I bought a pro license but have not installed it yet because Sync does everything I need. Have you guys considered a VPN product? You already have the tunnel part done.
  19. I installed of 2.3.3 on 2 PCs today, the program did not show up in the program list nor did it put an icon on the desktop as the option said it would. I was logged in as a standard user on both. I logged in as an admin and ran the install, then logged into the standard account and reinstalled, that time it took. Anyone else seen this?
  20. I started to upgrade from 1.3.109 a few months ago but got sidetracked. I've looked over the site and from what I gather the only difference between personal pro and business workgroups is priority support, which I hope to never need. Should I remove 1.3.109 before installing 2.3.0?
  21. thanks Roman, going to install 2.2.3 and see how I adapt to it. Even though 1.3 was beta I had very few problems.
  22. I'm still using 1.3.109 after finding 1.4 too buggy for me. Do you have a page that shows the advantages of upgrading to 2.2?
  23. My 9 year old laptop is running out of space on the drive. If I disable archive on it but leave it enabled on the PC it syncs to will the 2nd PC still archive a file deleted on the old PC?
  24. I have a sync.txt file that is 186 gig, along with some data base files in the 20-75 meg range. Do I need these?
