  1. Ok, I got it. After reading the logs I realized, that there are some files with non-readable permissions. I changed that with sudo chmod a+rw -R *
  2. LazyWolf, thanks a lot. It's still true, the .sync folder does not exist on my systems, which is due to the used packages, I guess. On Ubuntu – Sync installed by PPA – you will find the sync.log in /home/username/.btsync On the Synology NAS – Sync installed from SynoCommunity – you will find the sync.log in /usr/local/btsync/var Someone my add this in the named page. Cheers, btmax
  3. I have the same issue. When I reboot both machines btsync will hang at different files and show a similar massage as the OP stated, but with different files sizes left (sometiems just 100 MB, than 19 GB, then 6GB and so on) It's a shotwell folder with JPGs ordered by date The files ar not opend in any application and I've never used the .Syncgnore files so far. My system: Lubuntu 13.04 btsync 1.1.42 installed from PPA (https://launchpad.net/~tuxpoldo) and Synology DS211j btsync 1.1.42 installed from synocommunity package and updated manual I'm in the work for the debug.txt … (see http://forum.bittorrent.com/topic/21818-how-to-enabled-debug-on-linux/)
  4. Dear folks, I'm having an issue with Sync (same as this guy: http://forum.bittorr...c-not-finished/ ) and would like to provide debug informations. But I'm sorry, I do not understand how to get them … I know this page http://forum.bittorr...-syncapp-issue/ but I just cannot find the ".sync" folder on my systems. And please: what is "FFFF" ??? My system: Lubuntu 13.04 btsync 1.1.42 installed from PPA (https://launchpad.net/~tuxpoldo) and Synology DS211j btsync 1.1.42 installed from synocommunity package and updated manual Thanks for your help!
  5. Cool, thanks for the superfast answers! I'm glad that it will work like that. Greetings, btmax!
  6. Hi folks, I'm using Sync sucessfully on a NAS (Synology) together with a few connected linux systems. Now I want to keep a huge mass of files in sync between two of the systems. Most of the files do not change often, so in every day life there wont be much traffic. But I'm talking of 30 GB in total so it would be take ages (I guess …) to sync the two folders initially. (The systems are connected remotely over the internet) Is it possible to skip this step by copying the files manually from one folder to the other one (i.e. by carrying an usb drive from one system to the other one)? Thanks in advance for your hints! btmax
