  1. I have been running 1.3.67 on 4 windows computers and a raspberry pi now, all syncing with each other, and this is the first version where all syncs actually completed! They used to be stuck at a couple of MB, so great job on that!

However, I can confirm that the rate_limit_local_peers doesn't seem to do anything anymore, where it worked before. It now rate limits local peers anyway, disregarding the setting's value.

And btsync also crashed two times on my raspberry pi so far. I have now enabled debug logging, so I'm waiting for the next crash, and hopefully I can send a dmp file with meaningful logs. Anyway I can easily solve that with a watchdog for now.

  2. I got the exact same error messages (requesting to load file xxx which is busy on disk - rejecting until file info is updated), over and over again for days. And it prevented my windows machine from syncing with a linux peer (linux being the readonly peer here).

I noticed though that all characters in the file were lowercase, while the error message had some uppercase characters. So renamed the files to the exact same casing as the log messageon my windows machine, and finally the sync completed.

I'm using 1.2.92 on Windows, and 1.2.91 on my ARM linux machine.

  3. I have two folders, my music library, sized 121 GB synchronized from my desktop pc to my laptop (both windows 8). Because I previously used synctoy for this, the music libraries were actually in sync before I started using BTSync.

So I tried BTSync, generated a secret and set it to the music folder on my desktop pc. Then I did the same on my laptop and set the read-only secret to my already existing music folder.

Now, it shows me that it still needs to synchronize 120 GB. It only 'synchronized' 1 GB in the last 3 days.

First of all, doesn't Bittorrent Sync realize that the content (hash) and last modification dates of the files is already the same?

Somehow it realizes, because Bittorrent Sync doesn't seem to send any actual data, I never see any activity on my network adapter. It only seems to check 3 files every 10 or so seconds to realize no data has to be sent. And with 27000 files, this could take a while...
