I use a backup solution on my linux system that makes extensive use of hardlinks to provide a time-machine like experience. For every backup a file doesn't change it creates a hardlink to the original file. Only changed files get copied. http://backintime.le-web.org/
Now I would like to sync the whole backup folder to an external machine using btsync. Do you know if btsync will re-create hard links on the remote server? Or will it copy the same file over and over and use multiple times more space?
