  1. I can't deal with that "files cannot be downloaded" bug, so I downgraded to 2.5.13. Hopefully, the devs will get their acts together and fix that nasty bug.
  2. Yes, I have same exact issues as well, and while I tried to address them manually, they will keep coming back for more files that it can't seem to download. I have since downgraded back to 2.5.13
  3. One key thing I noticed is that even with Resilio Sync program completely shut down, some unknown process is taking a hold of the program file; thus preventing any types of operation (such as deletion, renaming etc). %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Resilio Sync\Resilio Sync.exe Under Process Explorer, I can't figure out what is taking a hold of the file, but explorer.exe is taking a hold of some DLL extensions such as ShellExtensionPath64_515.dll. I also shut down my AntiVirus program too, so it is definitely not the virus scanning program.
  4. I am seeing the same issue under 2.6.1 I am debating about downgrading back to 2.5.13 as well.
  5. For those that ran into the following error there is a workaround for non-Service installation (Windows 10 specific) You can launch Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc). Under Startup tab, Disable "Resilio Sync" from launching. Log out, and Log back in, but do not launch Resilio Sync Open Windows Explorer and browse to %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Resilio Sync Rename Resilio Sync.exe to Resilio Sync.exe.old Rename Resilio Sync.exe.new to Resilio Sync.exe You can go back to Task Manager to re-enable Resilio Sync for startup You can then either log out and log back in or launch Resilio manually. 2.6.1 runs now, but it now uncovers a ton of warnings...files it can't download etc. I have yet to figure out what is going there.
  6. @jdrch, ahh oops. My original response was meant for @skst. I understand your logic about why you run your Resilio Sync as Service. However, I am so used to non-service installations that I don't feel like making the switch for Windows (I have service based installation on Linux Server). Is there an upgrade log that I can look into why the upgrade fails for non-service installation?
  7. @skst , you are definitely NOT alone here. I have 3 machines running Windows 10 April 2018 Release, and they all have troubles upgrading to 2.6.1 (from 2.5.13). There is no Windows service running either
  8. I forced BTSync to check for update on my Mac, but it still says that it is running the latest version. Well, currently, it is running 1.3, but does not seem to detect newer 1.4. Does that mean I will have to manually upgrade to 1.4? Or Do I simply just keep on waiting and eventually it will upgrade to 1.4? Thanks
  9. I actually sent an email to syncapp@bittorrent.com just a sec ago, but just want to check with you guys and see if you also experience something like below. Issue 1: I can see ghost files from the iOS SyncApp that I would otherwise not see on desktop/laptop computers. It happens when you use apps that support multi-conneciton download (aria2, FlashGet etc). During the download process, the downloader program creates temporary files with ".part" file extensions (so they would be joined together once the download completes). After download finishes, the temporary part files would be removed, but I can still see them under iOS and Android. It means that I can't download them, because the files aren't there. I can't delete them, but well, again, files really are not there anymore. Issue 2: on iOS, the video play back has improved much, but it is still missing the pause button.
  10. Two requests rolled into one As an Amazon Kindle Fire owner, I would like to see BitTorrent Sync available on the Amazon Android App store! Either that, or can we get the APK file so that we can install manually on Kindle Fire
