    Hi I'm using BTSync on a Synology NAS to sync files from a Windows PC. Syncing files work but all the files get access rights for the user 'btsync' on the Synology. I assume that is the case because btsync is running as root user (btsync) on the Synology. Is it possible to start the BTSync process on the Synology as a different user than root (btsync)? That way file permissions should be set as that user as far as I understand. Any help is really appreciated. Thanks

    I'm using BitTorrent Sync on a QNAP NAS to sync files from a Windows PC. Syncing files work but all the files get root access rights on the QNAP. I assume that is the case because btsync is running as root user on the QNAP. Is it possible to start the btsync process on the QNAP as a different user than root? That way file permissions should be set as that user as far as I understand. Any help is really appreciated. Thanks
