  1. Interesting... I will try with a check-mark on the "Always show icons, never thumbnails" in the "Control Panel/folder options" to see if I can get any positive result. tx
  2. Is there an issue related to media files? As I wrote in this post http://forum.bittorrent.com/topic/25494-windows-81-strange-behavior-and-lots-of-error-in-logs-since-12xx/ I also experienced this behavior with Windows 8.1 and I share almost exclusively MPEG2 files. On my side, this issue is happening randomly.
  3. hummm, interesting! I didn't know that btsync have a 50 client limitation, that's probably why I have so many timeout and connections drop. Is this limitation was in place with version 1.1.XX ? Because last month, with Rev. 1.1.82, every client were able to sync correctly... I will redesign my btsync share so that I don't have more than 50 clients per share and, if I still experience anomalies, I'll send my full debug logs.
  4. I've got a lot of strange behavior and I often experience slow speed since I installed 1.2.XX on Windows 8.1 Pro. Those workstation were working great and were syncing quickly before 1.2.XX ie: 1.1.82 Here's a example of one of our setup: - Fresh new Windows 8.1 pro - Btsync 1.2.82 - Read only secret - Folders are mapped network drive - The master is within the same LAN/subnet - 2 others read only clients within the same LAN/subnet - 70 read only clients on the internet Here's some strange behavior that I had experience since 1.2.82 - Sometimes "Pause syncing" isn't working - Sometimes Btsync crash when you try to exit it - The up/down status isn't always accurate - A lot of errors are showing in the logs that weren't there with 1.1.82 - The most annoying problem is the speed, gosh it is slow even on LAN transfer with no encryption. Here's an example of what I got in the sync.log all day long: [2013-12-11 11:00:15.044] Torrent \\?\Z:\Video21.mpg status:134 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:0 io:0 [2013-12-11 11:00:15.044] Torrent 5. I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this issue but the up/down status is not always accurate on my Windows 8.1 pro... Seems OK on every other OS I use, weird!? If I restart btsync it fix the problem for a while...
  6. Click on register now http://www.bittorrent.com/sync/developers
  7. Done, the dump file as been sent. Where can I get my hand on the API documentation?
  8. It doesn't seems to work on Windows 8.1 As soon as I try to start it, it crash and it create a dump file. it's working fine on Win 7 Do you want me to attach the dump file? Also where can I find API documentation? Thanks
  9. I dont know which platform you are using but, if you are using linux, I think rsync might be the way to go for you. It's not related to btsync but I hope it somehow helps!!
  10. Just for info We had some sites that outgoing ports were blocked! As soon as port UDP 3000 was open regardless of the listening port, it worked right away! So, if outgoing ports are blocked, yes port UDP 3000 need to be open for btsync to work.
  11. I forgot to elaborate about tests that I had done so far This issue occur with version 1.1.48 and 1.1.70 - Deleting .SyncArchive & .SyncIgnore and re-creating the share didn't change a thing - Opening the listening port on both side didn't help - Enabling the DHT network didn't change anything - Trying to use "predefined hosts" didn't change a thing ** Associated ports were open on both side also Why is it working with another read only secret with the same source computer/network and same destination/network? The only thing I change is the shared key, how is that possible that it worked with one key and not another? I'm a little bit out of ideas, please help!? tx
  12. Hi, First of all, many thanks for this great product, I'm loving it It seems that I experience a similar problem with various Windows flavor but it's always the same issue, no connected device so no sync. I got over 150 computer connected to a read only share and only few aren't able to connect. ** Those are all windows 2003, 2008 and win8 At first I tought it was something related to firewall or network issue on their side but when I configure a temporary share it works flawessly. Note that all those computer share the same ntp server so they are all at the same time. There's not much in the debug log except "Sending broadcast ping..." Anyway here's an exemple of a debug log on an affected windows: ** Note that I've replaced the share identity with XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Any idea's what can be the cause or other tests that I could do? Any help would be appreciated. tx
