  1. Using wap-psk is the same as not using encryption at all.
  2. Don't go to the local Starbucks. Go to a place a little further from home.
  3. I have the same issue. When I reboot my computer, the connection is lost until it's back on and BTSync running. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  4. If the third computer connects to internet via Bluetooth, it should work. Once i connected my computer to my phone and with usb tethering. On The computer, i had a virtualbox running windows. And it synced with my phone without any problem. So i think the same would go for a Bluetooth tether Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  5. You can have a single folder with separate folders for each device inside it. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  6. Your secret, when hashed will give a different value. This can not be reversed. That value is what is being sent out to other clients. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  7. Multi sync as in all synced nodes will assist any node still syncing. In theory it would lead to a faster sync. But in practice most of them idle as there's no thought how each chunk is distributed, node1 will send the same piece to all other nodes. Then continue with the next one.. 8. Is the Pi connected to any network? Best solution for is to play the Pi into a wifi router and have phone join the same network. It will obviously only be syncing when both devices are in the vicinity of the router. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  9. It won't sync if your PC is off. The android app can do a selective sync, so you can choose which files folders you want to sync on the go Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  10. Is true crypt using the file? If so, btsync will wait for it to be released before continuing the upload Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  11. Yes that is it. Myself, I raised it to 120. Just to be on the safe side. When space is getting low, I could easily expand or clean up the archive. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  12. You might want to change the default 30 days synchistory to a higher value Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  13. You can't do that. You have create a new one in the API to get the encryption secret at this point. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  14. The app can't know if you're home or not, and switch network settings automatically. But when syncing, the local source will be much faster. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  15. The first time you start btsync it will ask you to create a user and password. Try deleting all settings in the .sync folder and start it again, hopefully that will help Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  16. Try defrag. There is a freeware called defraggler you can try out too Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  17. That's what the sync archive is for. BTSync doesn't evaluate files. It just syncs in a safe way. The only corruption it protects you from is the governments Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  18. If the key is a read only. No changes will be made on any other devices. If you use the sync archive function, it will also protect you if something happens to your phone. Ie someone steals it and deletes the pictures, or a child playing with it and deleting by mistake. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  19. You give them their own folders and secrets. On the server, create a folder for the user. Add it as a share in BT Sync and generate a new secret. Give the user the read-write secret so they can store files. On the client, create the folder and instead of generating a new secret, use the same secret you got when you hit generate on the server. I hope you can work it out!
  20. Good luck for btsync to access that on your iPhone. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  21. Try the latest version of Bittorrent Sync. Before that, remove all files in the .sync that should be in the same folder that the btsync executable
