Hi, I don't know if somebody mentioned this, but put it in the settings a LAN only mode. I know you can do it by using folder preferences but I don't want to have to do it for every folder.

Well, I think syncing one folder at a time should reduce the problem. I think syncing many folders at once will fragment your harddrive, but I have to do some tests and verify.

Does syncing many folders each with different secrets at a time make any difference? Or will my drive be fragmented regardless if I'm only just syncing one folder or many folders?

I did defrag. I got it down to 1%... but I want to make sure that this never happens again when I use bittorrent sync. Is there anything I can do? Why doesn't sync pre-allocate space like regular bittorrent?

I recently formatted my hard drive and I used bittorrent sync to back it up. I defragmented first and got to 0% fragmented. After using bittorrent sync to back up my files, my hard drive went from 0% to 32% fragmented. Is there a way to assure that this does not happen? Any settings I can fumble with?
