Found a workaround. The 88GB folder contained 11 8GB files. When I logged in to the backup server I noticed only one of them was not in sync. It was strange, because the file was there with a .!sync extension and it was already a big file. Nevertheless, btsync was reporting as if it was almost at the begining of the sync process (7.9Gb remaining). So, I moved the file to a different folder in my machine. btSync reindexed and deleted the file on the backup server. Then I moved it again to the sync folder. Once again, it reindexed the folder. Now it seems to be synchronizing again. File in the backup server is 33Mb already. So, I think btsync may be having problems with big files. Please feel free to ask me any questions. Hi. I have an 88GB folder which has synchronized without problems until 7.9GB are left. Now, for some reason, it has "stopped" synchronizing. BTSync is not paused and I can see it sending data at 80Kb/s, but there is no progress. I am attaching the btSync log from last night. Please help. sync.zip

Nils I wish I still had the problem (mmmm... maybe not... haahaha), but since I had it I split the file and now things seem to be working just fine. Nevertheless, I can try to replicate it to help you debug it. Are you interested? Harold I suspect it was failing because: On the Devices tab, the entry for my brother's computer said that the status was "[up-arrow] 100GB" and never actually decreased the number during the 24h we were trying to sync the file. On the Transfers tab, the entry for the folder uploading to my brother's computer showed that the upload speed was going from 0 to 80kB/s every 20-30 seconds. After that ammount of time, it usually stopped (0kB/s) and went up again. That kept repeating for the whole 24h.Once we split the file, the Devices tab number started decreasing and the Transfers tab shows a "constant upload speed" of 60-80kB/s.

Not sure, but I am sure the moment it was released, BTSync started "indexing" the folder and the count went from 0 files to 1. After that, it started trying to send the data.

It was already released by Truecrypt and I was able to see BTSync trying to send it to my brother's computer, but it looked as if kept failing and restarting.

Hi all. I created an encrypted 100GB file with Truecrypt and tried to sync it with my brother's computer using Bittorrent Sync. Although we left if for a whole day, the folder was not able to sync. The connection between both computers was stablished and we could see upload activity on my computer. But it seemed as if it was uploading for about 20s at a time and then stopped. Sync kept trying to sync, but it was never able to do it. Because of that, I split the file in 8GB files and tried again. We've been synchronizing for a couple of hours and we see that 700MB were already transfered. This tells me that Sync seems to have a problem with big files. Has anyone else experienced the same thing? I think the problem should be easily reproduceable using Truecrypt. Please let me know if you need any other information.
