  1. How does this effect things? https://torrentfreak.com/dropbox-scores-patent-for-peer-to-peer-syncing-160103/ Seems to describe exactly what bitsync does ? Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  2. Another fail. I understand this is beta but does anyone even bother to test that the latest versions even work at a basic level ? Seems you just make changes to the source, compile and release. Yet another black GUI. Ubuntu 14.04 had to go back to 1.3.94. Arm cubietruck back to 1.4.72. Maybe change the logo to alpha instead (then again you'd break something else when doing that) Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  3. 1.3.94 my main 24/7 sync on Ubuntu. Any higher and the webgui is blank. My other one has a old 1.4 on it. I intend to go back to 1.3 on this also as it takes ages to load the webgui and I have to press refresh a few times. Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  4. Yeah but as its not possible at the moment its better than nothing. Could be nodded to run hourly. Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  5. I backup mysql data bases every night to a file and share via this. See http://ks3353134.kimsufi.com/nibbleblog/index.php?controller=post&action=view&id_post=20 Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  6. Still have the same problem on Ubuntu 14.04. Anything above 1.3.94 and the webui just doesn't show. Asks for a password and then nothing. It's working in the background as all my old shares are syncing. Had to remove and go back to 1.3.94. Yet on my cubietruck arm system the latest version works fine ? 7. Yeah just share the keys from one. It's clever enough to check existing files and do the rest. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  8. Any chance of an official answer from the developers? Should we be worried ? Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  9. Fixed it by removing bitsync totally and reinstalling version 1.2.92 manually. Then tried same method with 1.3. Anything above 1.3.94 has the same blank GUI problem. Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  10. Same blank screen on my Ubuntu 14.04. It's still working as my other bitsync systems connect and work. Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  11. I fixed the permissions with a simple sudo chmod. Same high CPU so went back to Version 1.3.67 and all OK. Thanks Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  12. Hardly the best test but just updated via your auto update and manually did the raspberry pi. All seems fine, all find each other. Android app connect and downloads fine. Thanks Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  13. Updated both my Ubuntu and raspberry pi now. Thanks for your advise. Best regards Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks will try tomorrow. On Ubuntu 13.04 Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks for this. Just wondering how do I upgrade ? Web GUI shows " version 1.2.82 ( up to date )" Installed with the below a few months back. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tuxpoldo/btsync sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install btsync Thanks for any help. Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  16. Can only comment on the raspberry pi version. It works fine.... Mines setup with crontab to turn on and of at set times. Syncs about 50 gig all with no issues. Running for about 3 months now. Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  17. See mine. Pi CPU is never pushed much after the initial hash. Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  18. I use normal keypass on my PC from a bit torrent sync folder stored on my raspberry pi over the network. For mobile access I use - android. http://keepass2android.codeplex.com This has a great option to open / save via ftp server. My raspberry pi has an ftp server sharing an sync folder and all works great. Change in PC and mobile picks up and the other way round. Best part all is free and secure. 19. I'm doing this but using an app on my android phone called foldersync. OK the first time I run it it syncs all pictures but then only new ones. As i the backup is one way when I delete the pictures from my phone they are still stored on my backup. Using a raspberry pi with an SSH server. It's setup to backup everyday at 3am via WiFi only on my home router and if the charger is plugged into the phone. The backup folder on the pi is also linked with bittorent sync for backup elsewhere. Been doing this for over 8 months. Setup and forget its running. Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  20. Removed the share. Re added both sides and seems to be working now. As it's in beta a suppose a few issues are to be expected. Nice how it just did a index check and didn't actually redownload it all again. Thanks Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  21. Yeah both on 1.2.82 below is opposite screen shot on the pi. Nothing using any of the files. Just my backup of apps, docs, pictures, etc. Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  22. Anyone understand why item 2 on the below never finishes? 1 and 3 show as synced with a date but 2 is always the same. No data transfer either. One on a raspberry pi the other on ubuntub 13.04 in a datacentre in France. Any ideas? Thanks. Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  23. Scheduled sync would be great. I'd like to sync between 1am to 7am only. Currently have done messy crontab rules to do this. Rich Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
