  1. Hi, thanks for your reply. No, the X.X.X.X is the external (official) address. This port is listening only a few seconds after starting the daemon, then it is closed. Why there is a fixed port needed for communication? I have read, that it must be opened in firewalls... http://forum.bittorrent.com/topic/16628-wich-ports-should-be-oppened/ And for what is the raw port needed?
  2. I manage a dedicated server (ubuntu lts), standing in an computing center, with several btsync shares running (without problems). The listening port is 28174, but netstat tells me that there are some other ports opened by btsync... can someone explain me for what there are needed, and maybe how i can close them if I don't need the corresponding feature? netstat -npl |grep btsynctcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:28174 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 7003/btsync-daemonudp 0 0 X.X.X.X:5351 0.0.0.0:* 7003/btsync-daemonudp 0 0 0.0.0.0:28174 0.0.0.0:* 7003/btsync-daemonudp 0 0 0.0.0.0:3838 0.0.0.0:* 7003/btsync-daemonraw 0 0 0.0.0.0:1 0.0.0.0:* 7 7003/btsync-daemonThe port 5351 is opened only a few seconds after restarting the daemon...? All my shares have search_lan and use_dht disabled, and all except one have use_relay_server and use_tracker disabled also.
