  1. Hi everyone, if you are using a windows computer and you are ok using classic folders, you can follow this steeps so you can sync the whole user home folder: 1. Install BTSync 1.4.111 and then sync the whole user directory. 2. Edit the IgnoreList with something like that "at your taste :)" # IgnoreList is a UTF-8 encoded .txt file that helps you specify single files, paths and rules # for ignoring during the synchronization job. It supports "?" and "*" wildcard symbols.### OS generated files #.DS_Store.Spotlight-V100.Trashes~*ehthumbs.dbntuser.dat.LOG1ntuser.dat.LOG2ntuser.dat.LOG3ntuser.inidesktop.iniThumbs.dbAppDataAppData\*DropboxDropbox\*Local SettingsLinksCookiesApplication DataStart MenuSendToPrintHoodNetHoodSearchesSendToSaved GamesRecentCache._**.pst*.regtrans-ms*.DAT*.LOG1*.LOG2*.TM.blf*.blf*.pol*.app*.cache*.filerun.thumbnails.filerun.thumbnails*.ithmb 3. Upgrade to Sync v2 and done Hope this will help someone.
  2. Hi everyone, I am using the latest version of Bittorrent Sync 1.4.91 under Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit (latest windows update) and IE11 (defoults settings), (Intel core2 Quad Q6700 @ 2.66) with 8GB DDR2 on a 120G SSD where the OS is install and two hard drives 2TB each working as a spanned volume (4TB Total). My question is: Should I use BitTorrent Sync 32bit or 64bit version? Can someone helping me deciding witch will work better? Advantages? I would like to know your personal opinions. Thank you

  5. Problem Description: BTSync open ok if it is not connected to the internet, but as soon if connected it freezes. Sorry for my broken English------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi everyone, I am using the latest version of Bittorrent Sync 1.4.83 under Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit (latest windows update) and IE11 (defoults settings), (Intel core2 Quad Q6700 @ 2.66) with 8GB DDR2 on a 120G SSD where the OS is install and two hard drives 2TB each working as a spanned volume (4TB Total). My small server is located in NY using cablevision service with a private ip with 50MB Download and 25MB upload speed. I have my whole family and friends backup in my home server around 25 computers (and Folders) including laptops and desktops ... Everything was working perfectly fine until a couple of days ago, that I noticed BTSync wasn't working in my own laptop ... I checked the server and was frozen, so I end the task using the Task Manager and try to reopen ... but same thing happens after load the GUI and all the folders, just 20 seconds after hangs (Not Responding). I tried to read and read to see if I can fix that without bothering others but afters days trying I cannot make it working, What I tried was: 1. First I thought IE was the problem, so I uninstalled and see if opening using chrome and Firefox will work, but same thing, after open and load the folders freezes ... so I re install IE11. 2. I tried to reinstall BTSync (same version) on top and same thing. 3. I tried to turn off the firewall and windows defender ... 4. Disabling the Advanced Option "Use UPnP port maping" 5. Disabling the Advanced Option "Disk_low_priority" 6. Increasing to 100 and later to 1000 the Advanced Options "recv_buf-size and send_buf_size" 7. After checking and checking ... I just thought let see if I take the ethernet cable out and try to open BTSync without internet access ... AND IT WORKS I can open BTSync and play around if I dont have the ethernet cable plug so after restarting the server and testing for a couple of hours to see if BTSync freezes again (never did it) before plugin the cable I thought let me see if I mesh the dns servers (so cannot go to the internet but yes to the LAN) and see if my laptops syncs and wow my laptop was syncing perfectly so I took the cable out, restart the server, open BTSync (no internet) and as soon the computer goes online ... Freezes Now the only conclusion I have is, that BTSync works ok but until I connect the server to the internet BTSync Freezes and I notice that usually freezes at 25% usage of the CPU on the task manager (I dont know if this help) Last thing I did is delete all *db-shm, *.db-wal and *.db on AppData ... and well did work the first time after indexing process was finished, but next day, same problem again. Please I need some suggestions and help if possible, I have no Idea what is happening so if someone could help me I will really appreciate.
