  1. I'm running the Resilio Sync linux package on Ubuntu, both patched up to date. After I reboot the server, it takes several days for Resilio Sync to start up and for the UI to become available. During that period, I just see a progress bar below a sync icon. Once it finally gets running, it seems to work fine. Any ideas for troubleshooting are appreciated.
  2. I'm having the same issue. On 2.6.3 the webui is available over http, but not https. Is there a fix on the way?
  3. I recently created a share that is synced across two Windows computers and three Ubuntu servers. It was syncing correctly for a week or so when all of a sudden all of the file modification dates on all of the files were updated to the current date. Any ideas why that happened? Is there a way to troubleshoot the cause? Thanks in advance.
  4. I'd like to try the Docker version, but it looks like it hasn't been updated to 2.5. In the meantime, I followed your suggestion and moved Resilio to an Ubuntu server and set the user and group of the cifs shares to rslsync:rslsync, which resolved the permissions issues. Thanks!
  5. After upgrading to Resilio 2.5.5 I noticed that files failed to sync and permission issues in the logs. Specifically the logs show "file is locked by another application" and "Failed to download - initial recheck". Back in the days when btsync ran under Admin on Synology, I had chowned all my sync folders and files to admin:users. I see now that Resilio runs under rslsync and that rslsync is in the administrators group. What permissions should my folders and files have for Resilio to run successfully? Thanks in advance!
  6. Is a version of 2.5 for Synology in the works? Thanks in advance!
  7. I bought and applied a perpetual Sync Pro for Individuals license, but I don't see how this figures into Identities. There's also mention of an Owner and a User, not to mention Peers and Devices. What is an Owner? How are User's created and managed? What's a peer and a device? I have to say, this is very confusing.
  8. Thanks, that's very helpful. So, let's say a family of four wants to share files at home via a Resilio NAS instance. Each individual has have a MacBook and a couple of iOS devices. What would they buy to be properly licensed?
  9. I'm a Sync Pro user and I'm interesting in adding more people to my shares, with permissions varying from person to person. I'm a bit confused about the difference between a license, a seat, and an identity and therefore what I have to buy for each person. Can you please clarify? Thanks in advance and regards, imm
  10. I also noticed that "Sync to this device" or "Remove from this device" and "Remove from all devices" disappears from the right click menu from time to time. Relaunching the Finder and BitTorrent Sync re-adds the menu options. 2.0.85 on OS X.
  11. I created a new shared folder in BitTorrent Sync 2.0.85 on Synology and it was automatically connected to BitTorrent Sync 2.0.85 on OSX. Is there a way to change this behavior so it does not automatically connect? Thanks in advance!
  12. Using BitTorrent Sync 2.0.85 on OSX I right clicked on a subfolder of a synced folder and did "Remove from this device". I expected the folder to remain and items in the folder to be replaced by .bts stubs. What actually happened is the folder disappeared altogether. Is this a bug or is this working as intended? Thanks in advance!
  13. I take that back. One of my processes had silently crashed. Upon restart everything started syncing properly. Thanks!
  14. Synology Cedarview does not seem to be syncing, ever after updating to the latest 2.0.85-1.
  15. RomanZ reported that the issue with xattrs would be fixed in 1.4 release, and that Mac <-> Linux sync would be smooth and quick. Now that 1.4 is out, has anyone verified that this is working?
  16. I'd like to know more about the .SyncStreams files, but I can't find any mention of it elsewhere. Can you supply more information about how to use it? In particular, since I'm syncing from OSX to Linux I'd like to turn syncing of extended attributes off until it works. Thanks!
  17. Does anyone have new on this topic? It's still happening on 1.3.89.
  18. Resolved by including in .SyncIngore on all members. Hopefully this will get resolved in the next release. It's desirable to be able to sync extended attributes.
  19. It's an acceptable short term workaround, but it still causes ugliness on the server side in the form of lots and lots of the following types of log entries: [20140326 17:17:05.476] Blocked downloading file {filename removed}/com.apple.metadata:_kMDItemUserTags due Connection closed
  20. I upgraded both my Mac (Mavericks patched up to date) and my Synology (DSM 5.0) to 1.3.67. I'm getting the following errors in sync.log, presumably failing to sync alternative streams or extended attributes. Any advice on how to resolve?
