Ok, this is detailed map of my devices:
On my work i have my personal notebook - it is one of this peers discussed here (Win10 OS). On it i have virtual machine with Ubuntu 16.04 x64, it's name is ceres64. Due to wifi security politics in company, DPI firewalls blocks many directions and protocols (VPN, games, RDP etc.), and bittorrent protocol is also blocked. Because of this, rslsync can't just work directly. So i have a trick - ssh tunnel from ceres64 direct to charon, which is placed at my home. May be thats why charon and ceres64 looks have the same IP.
At home I have two phisical computers: neptune and progmachine-ws0. charon is virtual machine, currently running on progmachine-ws0.
On linux boxes (progmachine-ws0, neptune, charon, ceres64), rslsync running as service with its own user id and group id. All synchronized folders are set with progmachine user id, and btsync/rslsync group id with sgid flag, so all existing files and new files in that folders must be accessible for write to rslsync daemon, due to "drwsrwsr-x" access pattern. But I'll check all permissions and see what will happen.

Here is logs from three peers.
charon and ceres64 are linux peers, notebook is win10 peer.
You can filter out of scope all but folder "common" and files credentials.xml and shell_history.xml in it, which is permamently synchronized within triangle of peers.
All other have the same problem, but there is huge amount of files going back and further, which is noisy (and CPU intensive waste load).

Just updated to 2.5.6
Changed 2 files in one of my synchronized folders and since then i see permament self-resonating cacsade of synchronization of this 2 files within triangle of peers. =)
It feels like when rslsync recives changes from remote peer, it changes local files and then recieves notifications from OS about files changes induced by rslsync itself, reacts on this events like "files changed by user" and retranslates this "changes" back and further.

This is not related to my situation. I'm not running Sync as a service, also linux version is affected too.

Sync since version 2.4.2, do not restore lost predefined connections. When server restarts or communication failed temporary, i need to restart Sync on my client devices.
2.4.4 do not fix this issue.

It seems that deleting all rslsync working files, except config.json, and re-hashing all folders, solved the rpoblem.
Now Sync periodically lose connections, but restores them quickly.

1. Yes, 2.4.
2. Nothing changed, just upgraded from 2.3.7 to 2.4.

After upgrade to 2.4 I encountered unstable connections problem. Now I need to restart rslsync on my home linux server periodically every few hours, because clients lose connections and can't restore them.
I noticed that linux clients can resore connections, but windows client can't and linux under vmware_on_windows also can't restore connections. -

Nothing special, except that there is mdadm raid5 volume.

I've got some trouble after update from 2.3.7 to 2.3.8 on my x86_64 Linux PCs. Hard drives got crazy, they are under heavy seek load, with grinding sound almost constantly. iotop shows that btsync generates 150KiB/s write speed on average, sync.log grows with speed of 50KiB/s to 100KiB/s while it's must be idle (nothing syncing), filled with some thing like this:

Now i downgraded back to 2.3.7, and all is fine again.

Hi people. After recent btsync update i encountered a problem: btsync-gui crashes when opened.
I have some sync folders named using not latin characters, on my native language. Locale is ru_RU.UTF8
Crash message: "btsync-gui crashed with UnicodeEncodeError in init_folders_values(): 'latin-1' codec can't encode characters in position 18-26: ordinal not in range(256)".
btsync-gui remains active, but not showing non latin folders.

Hi people, i have a problem with btsync after last update.
My system is Ubuntu 12.04 x64, and i use btsync-user package from launchpad repo.
After starting btsync-agent works for some time fine, but then stalls with CPU usage 100%, and i must kill and restart btsync for keep synchronization going. I use btsync for live sync of workspace while working with eclipse.

However it's better to report about permission problems than silently ignore them an continue to play ping-pong, wasting compute resources and electricity.
