I have a Debian 7.0 system running Bittorrent Sync. Does the software install Samba as part of its installation. I am getting an error message from Samba in my inbox and I know I didn't install Samba on my own. So I'm contemplating removing it. I have no other machines that are networked with this Linux Server so It's not clear why Samba is running. The server is a VPS. The error message is: The Samba 'panic action' script, /usr/share/samba/panic-action, was called for PID 23325 ().
