  1. Is there something I need to know about the sync state? Does it lock down files at the OS level? The VM says it can't open a certain vmdk after syncing although it is right there. I know this seems vague, but after rebuilding the VM I'm not keen on trying to replicate the issue. I'm trying to see if I start using snapshot and all changes are saved in new files if that will help with the sync corruption. (If corruption is in fact what is going on here.) Thanks for any and all help. 2d
  2. I believe this problem has to do with the differences in file systems across OSes. I too was having a similar issue, but ONLY when syncing with the OS X comp in the bunch. All of the other Windows PCs synced fine. As a test I stopped syncing with the Mac and instead ran a windows VM on it with BTSync installed, and there were no further sync issue as described in this thread. So the only solution I can then provide is to only use Windows. (Sorry I know it's not really constructive. I have no love for OS X, so being forced to bypass it was a good thing for me.) 2d
  3. Actually it appears as though the weak link here is OS X. Every Windows based system syncs perfectly. It's only the OS X computer that doesn't. I imagine it's because of the difference in the underlying file systems. Any ideas on this? 2d
  4. How BTSYnc handle a situation in which 3 computers are in sync, one is syncing, and another which was also in sync updates files that are still not synced on the currently syncing device? My question is does BTSync know that the synced computer changing synced files is the most current and just update those files on the currently syncing computer? I apologize if this is not easy to follow. Thanks for any feedback! 2d
  5. Yeah I figured out what the problem was, and it had nothing to do with btsync. It's working smashing right now. 2d
  6. Would Dropbox, Onedrive, or the Transporter clients cause BT sync to ease up on its bandwidth consumption? 2d
  7. As the title implies while BT Sync is syncing across 3 computers (2 on one subnet, and 1 on another) my printer keeps restarting. If the sync process is paused or not running it does not happen. This issue surfaced only after first using BT Sync. It's a wireless/BT/ethernet based printer, and my guess is something is flooding the printers NIC and causing a crash. Any ideas/solutions? 2d
  8. First I would like to thank Bittorrent for working on such a great piece of software. I have a development environment that I sync between my laptop, desktop, and VNC computer. Because VMWare workstation locks files while the VM is in use, do I need to worry about Bittorrent Sync messing up files while they are in use? Is anyone else using Sync for something similar? 2d
