  1. @RomanZ, Thank you for your quick response! 1) I did disable both windows firewall and antivirus, also no change.2 & 3) I did install and test uTorrent and I was able to saturate my 20mbit down without issue. Tonight I tested in reverse. Rather than having the file on the Linux server (100mbit) syncing to my Windows box (20mbit/5mbit) I placed a 25mb file on my Windows box to sync to the Linux box. The 5mbit upload was maxed out (~580KBps) as opposed to the paltry 100-200KBps I was getting FROM the 100mbit box. Odd. I then added a third BTSync client (another Windows client), and the 100mbit Linux server also only uploaded at ~185KBps, however I was getting a total speed of around 700KBps due to the file being also on the original Windows client which contributed again, the entire 5mbit up it has. Obviously the speed issue has something to do with the Linux host. Is there possibly anything else in the configuration that I am possibly missing? Or is there anything else to check on the Linux server? Thank you for taking the time to look into my issue as I will usually have the files originally synced from the Linux box as it should offer the greatest bandwidth.
  2. I have a Ubuntu Linux server running BT Sync version 1.3.94 and a Windows 8.1 client running the same version, 1.3.94. The Linux server is on a 100mbit connection and the Windows 8.1 client on a 20/5mbit connection. I can only get a maximum transfer of around 200KBps which is quite dismal seeing as though from the same server I can saturate my 20mbit connection through FTP. Here is an excerpt from the log on the Windows 8.1 client: [2014-05-06 21:42:17] Found peer for folder \\?\E:\BT Sync 003E6B87924ED9673AFA94F34958660294FDC2CF xxx:37523 direct:1 transport:3[2014-05-06 21:42:18] Torrent \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4 status:137 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:1 io:0[2014-05-06 21:42:19] Torrent \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4 status:137 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:1 io:0[2014-05-06 21:42:20] Going to sync state with peer xxx:37523 (003E6B87924ED9673AFA94F34958660294FDC2CF)[2014-05-06 21:42:20] Torrent \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4 status:137 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:1 io:0[2014-05-06 21:42:20] Merge: generating intial request with root 9D9A3C89394433FA69703691551E26C40645067F[2014-05-06 21:42:20] Got id message from peer GibServer (003E6B87924ED9673AFA94F34958660294FDC2CF) 1.3.94[2014-05-06 21:42:20] Merge: processing root message, remote hash 9D9A3C89394433FA69703691551E26C40645067F, timediff: 47[2014-05-06 21:42:20] State sync finished for folder \\?\E:\BT Sync[2014-05-06 21:42:21] \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4: Piece 5 complete[2014-05-06 21:42:21] Torrent \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4 status:137 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:1 io:0[2014-05-06 21:42:22] Torrent \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4 status:137 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:1 io:0[2014-05-06 21:42:23] Torrent \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4 status:137 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:1 io:0[2014-05-06 21:42:24] Torrent \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4 status:137 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:1 io:0[2014-05-06 21:42:25] Torrent \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4 status:137 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:1 io:0[2014-05-06 21:42:26] Torrent \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4 status:137 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:1 io:0[2014-05-06 21:42:27] Torrent \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4 status:137 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:1 io:0[2014-05-06 21:42:27] Send ping to peer (003E6B87924ED9673AFA94F34958660294FDC2CF) for share 637AF1123C6253AE430580620F7479F9AFE24BCD:[2014-05-06 21:42:27] ping xxx:37523[2014-05-06 21:42:27] Got ping (broadcast: 0) from peer xxx:37523 (003E6B87924ED9673AFA94F34958660294FDC2CF) for share 637AF1123C6253AE430580620F7479F9AFE24BCD[2014-05-06 21:42:27] Found peer for folder \\?\E:\BT Sync 003E6B87924ED9673AFA94F34958660294FDC2CF xxx:37523 direct:1 transport:3[2014-05-06 21:42:28] Torrent \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4 status:137 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:1 io:0[2014-05-06 21:42:29] Torrent \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4 status:137 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:1 io:0[2014-05-06 21:42:30] Going to sync state with peer xxx:37523 (003E6B87924ED9673AFA94F34958660294FDC2CF)[2014-05-06 21:42:30] Torrent \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4 status:137 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:1 io:0[2014-05-06 21:42:30] Merge: generating intial request with root 9D9A3C89394433FA69703691551E26C40645067F[2014-05-06 21:42:30] Got id message from peer GibServer (003E6B87924ED9673AFA94F34958660294FDC2CF) 1.3.94[2014-05-06 21:42:30] Merge: processing root message, remote hash 9D9A3C89394433FA69703691551E26C40645067F, timediff: 47[2014-05-06 21:42:30] State sync finished for folder \\?\E:\BT Sync[2014-05-06 21:42:31] Torrent \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4 status:137 error:<NULL> meta:1 conns:1 io:0[2014-05-06 21:42:32] \\?\E:\BT Sync\Motorcycle Run 1 of 3.mp4: Piece 6 completeOn the Linux server, the log just states this over and over: [20140506 21:50:12.218] Incoming connection from xxx:63347[20140506 21:50:23.146] Incoming connection from xxx:63347[20140506 21:50:34.247] Incoming connection from xxx:63347[20140506 21:50:45.250] Incoming connection from xxx:63347[20140506 21:50:56.233] Incoming connection from xxx:63347[20140506 21:51:07.184] Incoming connection from xxx:63347[20140506 21:51:18.117] Incoming connection from xxx:63347[20140506 21:51:29.108] Incoming connection from xxx:63347[20140506 21:51:40.070] Incoming connection from xxx:63347I would love to know what could be configured incorrectly to create this scenario as I would love to use BT Sync for my videos, but with the current speeds it would take far too long.
