I also have been dealing with this problem. On the hosts with the RO key no files ever change(they are backup servers). I enabled "Restore Modified files to original version" and the files began to sync again. I have had many gigabytes of data that failed to sync due to this odd behaviour.

It would be nice if btsync could be run as a system service on Windows utilizing a config file and settings folder located where the binary is. Advantages: An administrator could then set up sync shares of user data without exposing the GUI to the users.An administrator would not need to be logged in.btsync managed like other windows servicesbtsync could log to the event log
