Works for me (OSX 10.8.5). Though really a pity Sync 2 doesn't run on this anymore.

Excuse me, it seems to work after all. Not sure whether I didn't wait long enough or that a reboot did it.

Hi, I updated Windows 7 to 8.1, reinstalled Sync and would like to add my 3 sync folders (many GB's) without having them copied over the network as all files are right there. I waited for a long time for the smallest folder (500MB) to index and what not. There seems to be no interaction with the other peers. Sync 1.4.103, the other 2 peers are OSX 10.8.5 & 10.7.5. I'm experiencing the same issue with saving my Arduino project files from the Arduino IDE 1.0.6. I'm running Sync 1.4.91beta on Win 7. My solution for now is to quit Sync while working and re-open it when I need to synchronize. Hope this gets resolved soon...
