  1. [Censored - Helen] You are messing our systems totally now by this every day/every boot update the client notifications. please - STOP IT NOW!
  2. Take a beer or two! Nothing to do here - BTSync has ruined your system and there is no other way to go that away from this! I have +10 folder in or company NAS. Now I moved back to rsync between our two NAS server and tomorrow I install Owncloud and start sync laptops and desktops with NAS. We all have also unlimited space on OneDrive, but not using a single bit space there. I say that go for Owncloud. BTSync will be gone after upcomming summer.
  3. Now after reading these lies from BTSync team I have decided to dump BTSync. If I really need to run my own ifrastructure I can do it also with FreeNAS + Owncloud. Owncloud bundled with FreeNAS is actually great tool and you can share files and folders with "system" external users too. I have some seriour trust issues with this company called BTSync. If I can't trus the company behond of BTSync application then you should not do anything with the product! So if you have your own hardware (what is also needed here in BTSync too) then use look for Owncloud. It's a bit more husle with system, but at the end you own everything by your selves and it's just great! FreeNAS is great and easy to use. Installing a Owncloud plugin is much easier that building on Owncloud server on Linux/Windows. It's free and fun to learn how to do it! You don't have to watch liars like here you do! Hit the road Jack! I'm so gone! R.I.P BTSync 1.4.111 - had nice time with you but our promising future was killed by your parents! Oh - Freenas + Syncthing is also there to use easily!
  4. I'm started emergeny process to move out from BTSync in our company! We are also going to heavuly warn all our customers NOT TO USE BTSync in any use. BTSync is dead and will stay like it. You can build trust on customers (even free ones), but you can lose it only once - after that you have no change to recover that - never! Now worst case scenario happend - BTSync 2.0 is bussiness killer, I mean killer for customers bussiness who trusted on their written promises that features which are in 1.xx version will remain free in 2.0! Now after thus huge fuck up - there as idiotic limitations etc. What would you expect users to react? yeah - this is real fuck up to their active product users and customers. BTSync 2.0 is born dead! My storage is my Storage and it't not unlimited! I'm just moving it around. Lets go to true Open Source product - I rather support foss project with 1000€ than give it away here. It's not gonna happend!
  5. Now moving to: http://syncthing.net/ or one of its ports: https://source.ind.ie/project/pulse-swift/tree/master This what now has been seen is something you just can't do to "customers". Firts you ask help to develop 2.0 and then you shoot all the volunteer helpers.
  6. BTSync 2.0 => Shoot you selves! Free version limitations are JOKE!
  7. They says that Free version has sync only Up to 2 sync folders! This was END OF BTSync! Now I'm moving out of this product. BTSync has proken all the promises to all the users. That's worst thing you can do ! Now I understand even more deebly how important it is to use and support OPEN SOURCE projects - This what we have now seen happennig here is very ugly. My feeling was that this is great tool but now I really hate this extreamly bad! This happended in one second I saw the first page when 2.0 was released!
  8. Solved the issue - this release needs Windows boot after update to get peers "online". Early version did not need this. Thanks for help and support!
  9. OK - then there must be a bug - I can't see any of the other peers (servers or clients)
  10. I lost all peers after updateing to latest 1.4.99 version from 1.4.93. I have one FreeNAS with Bittorrent Sync plug-in 1.4.93 version (no later version available) and three other client PC's with 1.4.93 version. Is this feature or bug where versions are not compatible downwords? You should not release new client version before it's available in all versions in harware NAS too!
  11. Thanks a lot of this effort to say not needed! But anyway - If I want to remote destroy my data I would like to have a possibility to do so - even here is a lot of besserwissers that says it's not needed. Why in hell I shopuld use BTSync at all if I have Diskencryption that solves everything?
  12. Newer heard of Social Engineering? That's the way to loose everything in the same time. And secondly - it's not allways against thieves - it's just for securing you data before something happends! Like - first remove all data from laptop - then let eployee "go" from job.
  13. There is no such thing that fixe's all the issues - DO NOT STORE ANYTHING ANYWHERE fixes all the security issues.
  14. Nope - Full disk encryption softwares does not protect against thefs where passwords has been stolen also! (seen that - been there) Thats why it's mandatory to have full remote control over synced data also over this BTSync system!
  15. Yes - BTSync as Windows service is mandatory option to use this! You can do it by using Install as Service tools, but you loose GUI when running as service. If there would be web UI at least.
  16. We use this a lot in our laptops, as usually your laptop has a risk to be lost or stolen. It would be huge security add-on if you could remotely lock those synced folders by encrypting them temporaly until you recover your peer device. If you are sure that you peer device has been stolen or totally lost => you want to secure your data by remotely deleting all data in Synced folders and deleta all secure keys in BTSync client!
