    The problem is that bittorrent on synology runs under a separate user called btsync (I think), and that userid is created such that the user does not show up in your control pannel. See here: http://forum.bittorrent.com/topic/32021-create-sc-btsync-group-in-dsm-for-easy-folder-permissions-synology/
