  1. That explains it. I created the first shared folder during my Pro trial, and the others in my share group (whom I recruited to btsync) also were in the trial period. The distinction wasn't clear when reading about the differences between the free & pro versions. Thanks Helen!
  2. Indeed I don't have pro, but I should be able to share Owner permissions without that, no? No one else in the group I'm sharing with has pro, but they can all have owner. It's also strange that of the folders I've added to my own client, I only have Owner on the first one. I'm running in Mac OS X 10.11.2 btw.
  3. He definitely granted Owner access. Tried it several times. Kept showing up only as Read & Write. Latest version, 2.2.7. One of these six folders I created on this machine, and it still only offers me the chance to share "Read" or "Read & Write" permissions.
  4. I'm not sure whether this is one or two bugs, but the problems are manifesting like this: 1. A friend shares an "owner" link with me, but I get only "read & write" permissions. When I hover over the share button, it's greyed out and says, "Only an owner may share an advanced folder." 2. I add a folder, but my only share permissions available are "read only" and "read & write". I've got six shared folders, but in fact only the first one lets me share "Owner" permissions.
  5. I also have this problem. And I went through an arduous account-creation process that didn't know the earth is "globular" or "globe" in shape, nor the correct spelling of Barack Obama, to say so.
