Sync is resyncing all files after moving encrypted folder
Gane O'dwyer replied to Frank595's topic in Sync Troubleshooting
@Frank595 If you pick a directory with files previously encrypted with the same F-key, these files will still be re-synced and moved to Archive. This will lead to extra space taken on the device. -
Constant Reading of Network Drive
Gane O'dwyer replied to barrycarey's topic in Sync Troubleshooting
Not good idea to add folders that are on the NAS better to install Sync on this device and initiate files transferring. What is your NAS model and RAM value? -
Syncing shares with multiple file owners
Gane O'dwyer replied to afalout's topic in Sync General Discussion
@afalout Sync doesn't sync the files/folders permissions and for this reasons folders have to be with read- write permissions. -
That license could be used by your family memebers ( up to 5 users) and applied on their devices. There is no seats counter and technical difference.

Family License doesn't appear working
Gane O'dwyer replied to phaeretic's topic in Sync Troubleshooting
@phaeretic This is not a bug. The thing is that "Sync Home Pro" and "Sync Family Pro" are the same app, ("Home" has a Pro license for 1 user, "Family" has a Pro license for 5 users), you will not observe seats counter int he app GUI right after the license applying. As this license based on per user model so you need to apply the same license on the users devices and that is all. Of course we got reports and adde din 2.6.0 app version an improvement that allows to observe the license type in the app GUI. -
Fixing conflicts in encrypted folders
Gane O'dwyer replied to bratten's topic in Sync Troubleshooting
@bratten Conflicts may be caused by symbolic links, disc or controllers sectors corruption. Can you please give more details about your setup - you peers, Sync version, files themselves, their physical location, and send the debug logs from all peers sharing this folder. Here's instruction. We'll take a look. -

mac 2.5.13 menubar icon still in a wrong color
Gane O'dwyer replied to EternalSnow's topic in Sync General Discussion
@abreis This is not really white color but to be sure I will investigate that question. -
@Stefan Segers Usually Sync doesn't use much CPU when there is no activity. It constantly use only RAM according to number of files you have. But also Sync indexes files to make sure that their are up to date. During that time Sync uses some CPU and it happens every 10 minutes after rescan. More changes and added files more resources used. Yes, from the very beginning Sync indexing files before the files transferring.

@vigilian When a peer is connected through a relay server, you will see the "Relay server" icon next to that peer in the Peer list. Find them here.

@jd84 You are right that the issue could be related to the weak NAS. Sync eats RAM 2kb per file and on the forum we posted such answers too mnay times but would be great to see logs. @Stefan Segers small files would slow down the process as please note that too many operations would be proceed by the app such as indexing/tree merging/uploading/downloading and NAS that it based on the Linux has some peculiarities.
