A selective sync is not or not yet available as a feature with Syncthing. In my case, I only have selective sync only for one directory and there I work with the Ignore list in the GUI and enter the files/directories that should not be synced. Finally is the same result.

It is doubtful whether Resilio even provides a native installation file for UGREEN NAS in view of its update policy. It is also not known whether there is an app store at all or whether UGREEN is offloading everything onto Docker. However, UGREEN implements Docker and VM Manager in the new NAS models in any case and Resilio can therefore be installed in a Docker container in any case.

You can have Resilio and CloudSync or maybe also Syncthing working in parallel in the same directories if one software excludes the temporary files of the other software by the ignore patterns in the related lists. I used to run Resilio and Syncthing in parallel in my different Synology Diskstations, Windows- and Linux Computers and Smartphones in this way. It would be good to test this in special folders. However, a DS215j is not necessarily performant, only a few directories can be synchronized due to the overhead.

I can only agree that Resilio Sync has some bugs that are becoming more and more obvious as the platforms (Windows, Linux, Android ...) progress. It can only be used efficiently as a complete package across the platforms. Personally, I don't need any additional features, but I do need fine-tuning and bug fixes. These are not coming and I started with Syncthing on two tracks and today I only use Syncthing. Monthly release updates and development versions in between, plus open source and free to use. I also purchased several licenses of Resilio Sync and have been using it since BTsync. Realizing that Sync seems to be a dead end, because the maintainers in the forum don't seem to support it anymore, has prompted me to switch completely to Syncthing. The question is why these views here are sometimes somewhat naive. Take a look at the changelogs to see how Resilio Connect is being updated. Today is on 3.8.2.2285 (18/March/2024). I have had several licenses for years and was already using BTsync. As the current software no longer runs cleanly and reliably on the advancing Linux, Windows and Android platforms, as I can only work with a fully reliable package on all these devices, I was forced to use the competitor's product, which has the same P2P concept. In addition, monthly updates for all platforms, with beta versions for interested users in between, works perfectly and is free of charge. Resilio brought this on itself, I was a paying user.

Resilio Sync since March 2022 and thus now for 2 years still is on v2.7.3 and Resilio Connect now is on v3.8.2.2285 (18/March/2024). Maybe the maintainers of Resilio can comment on what the strategy is for the future with Sync. I have a personal but all too obvious opinion and as a multiple licensee I am not pleased.

If you have a license of sync from a ealier time you can contact the support to get the current version also free. If you are new, you can also contact support for asking but I think is no longer for free for Windows Server and you need to buy.

Since so far the people at Resilio don't leave comments on anything that's here in terms of questions and hints, you can assume that no new version will be coming, at least for now. So you can only work with the current version as long as it runs without errors. I recommend you to look around in parallel, because if the current version will not run anymore, you already have a solution.

Prio have Connect and not Sync. Connect is commercial and Sync is both community and commercial and in the same way the interest is not high on Sync. I have also licenses but also no updates. If you made a new installation there is no default username and password. If I know right you must set during installation.

Maybe it would be useful to find out the actual memory allocations via Linux commands. What is stated in the DSM is also only related to this, but system-internal allocations are not taken into account there. For example, log files internal to Linux are not seen, etc. So what DSM outputs is unfortunately only a partial truth.

In which way you have a directly comparision? With a similar software? However, it must be borne in mind that transmissions depend on a lot of influences, especially over the internet. The transmission can only be as good as the smallest bandwidth in the overall connection, which is also used by other people and data transmissions. And, of course, Resilio takes its own use of this residual bandwidth for transmission, and since Resilio is usually quite reactive and fast in establishing and managing connections, this can also play a role. Better statements can only be made through comparative tests.

I recommend you to open a ticket at Resilio, otherwise you might not get an answer for a long time.

As you can see in the table, the only difference as "Small Business" is priority support if you open a ticket and the possibility to run a Server variant of the software and anyway you have no shorten update cycle as all other license models of Sync. Same situation as for me as owner of different pro licenses.
