  1. I have 2.5.9 and i had a 10gb log, i simply did a shift delete and it deleted it from windows explorer. Not sure if it will come back. Didn't need to do any of the things listed above, also the file was just a day old so it was/is still being used.

  3. Hi Helen, I was able to find the logs on my windows install, do i send them directly to support or post here?. I was able to create the adhoc and join it with 2 iOS devices which see each other and can sync with each other. My adhoc network is considered private by windows. There are exceptions for resilio sync for both public and private in the windows firewall. I have the latest version for all resilio sync's including windows and iOS devices. Also i just completely deleted my resilio sync and reinstalled as i had been messing around with settings for days trying to get this to work,
  4. In the past i was able to create an adhoc wireless network on my windows 10 and 8 laptops, then connect an ipad or iPhone and do a wlan sync without internet. I can still ping my apple devices IP address from laptop (windows 10 pro x64 with most current public release and newest wifi drivers). I can also use other iOS programs and transfer between iOS and laptop, so i believe the adhoc network is still functioning fine. I have to do this as i am out of internet connection range at times and also i don't want to waste iPhone monthly bandwidth when i am in range. It never shows a peer also I have experimented with changing tracker and relay settings as well as checked windows firewall and see a tcp and udp entry for sync. Any help would be appreciated, it is behaving as if it is a firewall issue. When i tried as an experiment, 2 iOS devices and the laptop, no devices were syncing or seeing each other, so it may not be firewall. What settings are recomended? Or did this functionality go away with newer versions?
  5. I guess must not be a very active forum, i answered my own question, created an ad hoc network in Windows 10 via the following instructions. Found in the following link - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-networking/how-do-i-set-up-an-ad-hoc-wifi-network-in-windows/0caa92d8-e02f-4e7f-aa5c-0abf10ed2039?auth=1 Windows 10 misses the ability to set ad hoc network feature, But Windows 10 has the Internet Connection Sharing or ICS feature that permits your PCs internet connection to connect with the devices, though you cannot share the internet as it does not permit to set up a wireless network connection. The ad hoc wireless connection switches your PC to a virtual Wi-Fi router permitting internet connection to other devices, although each with a different IP address. Today in the article of Windows 10 we will show you Create Wireless Ad Hoc Internet Connection on Windows 10 but make sure that your network adapter is updated to the latest version. As a note I put spaces between the words on the start hosted network command and stop works as well. I didn't do the sharing etc - stopped at the start hosted network. Hope this of some use to others with limited internet on the road and a laptop and iOS device with them. Follow the steps below and check if it helps you with the Setup. Right click on the start button. Choose the Command Prompt (Admin). If prompted by User Account Control, click An elevated Command Prompt window appears on your screen. Type the following command which will scan the virtualization support of your network interface, “netsh wlan show drivers” Now, here, if you get a No message then you have to update your network adapter. And if the Hosted Network gives you a Yes message then it means that you can go ahead as the network interface assisted virtualization. Type the below-mentioned command to set up an ad hoc wireless internet connection, “netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid= key=” Now substitute the markup tags with your desired entries. In the place of “network name” provide your desired network name and instead of “pass key” provide your key which should not be less than 8 characters. Afters etting up the hosted network, you need to start it. And to do so, type the following command “netshwlanstarthostednetwork” Now open Windows 10 Control Panel. Choose Network and Sharing Center. On the left pane of Network and Sharing Center window, click the link Change Adapter Settings. This will open up Network Connections. Here, or the recently created Wi-Fi connection you need to turn on the Internet Connection Sharing. And to do so right click on the internet connection device which is currently connected to the internet. Navigate to the Sharing Select the checkbox which asks you to Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection. And then use the drop down menu and select the recently created ad hoc You can get the IP address of the recently created ad hoc connection by double clicking the TCP/IPv4 Properties under the Networking Tab. Now you can connect any of your Wi-Fi able devices with your Windows 10 Your reply is very important for us to ensure a proper resolution. Please get back to us with the above information in order to assist you accordingly.
  6. I work on ships and would like to be able to sync via a wifi connection, independent of the internet between my ipad and my win10 machine. I was thinking i would use my iphone to create a hotpot and connect both via wifi, but i am open to other suggestions to create the local wifi network. Has anyone done this successfully? If so please advise. I am doing this to save bandwidth and also there are times we just don't have internet.
