  1. Thanks for your responses. You misunderstood my Q about shared hosting. This does not relate to EC2. I do understand I will be able to install resilo on my ec2 server, but will probably need some help for setting up - a text or video tutorial would be very helpful. I was referring to the shared hosting I use for my website. The main thing I want to do is copy newly generated and updated files on my ec2 server to my shared web host server. That shared host does not allow software install, files can only be uploaded via FTP. Thus is seems Resilio can get the files to my desktop, but I need another solution to get these files to my shared web host - I am looking for an automated solution that only needs me to have my PC turned on, or worse case, an application open, If anyone has any suggestions for automated FTP solution from my PC to shared host I would appreciate reading that. Thanks ColinK
  2. Resilio looks like what I need and I am hoping to buy Pro My use case - sync 1 windows desktop folder and sub folders with Linux Server (hosting a website) and AWS EC2 server It looks like I am missing the Getting Started Manual and or Tutorials or - https://help.getsync.com/hc/en-us/categories/200140177-Getting-started-with-Sync presumes user has lots of experience working with servers. eg "Installing Sync on Linux" starts with:" If you have btsync package installed", then goes on to Create file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/resilio-sync.list + more instructions. I assume many users will not already be using btsync so I presume I can ignore this part but - I presume I will have lots of questions like: My linux host has a folder named etc/ is the instruction telling me to make folders named apt/ and sources.list.d/ then create the file named /resilio-sync.list? The next instruction says Add public key with the following command: wget -qO - https://linux-packages.resilio.com/resilio-sync/key.asc | sudo apt-key add - How? I assume I will have many "where" and "how" questions as I work down the page plus questions like "does this apply to my server" / "my use case scenario" UPDATE: my web host (shared hosting) has confirmed that I will not be able to install Resilio on the server. Will Risilio allow me to do an automatic or manual FTP sync from my desktop to my web host? I am quite competent to follow detailed instructions, but not where it is presumed I have lots of previous experience that I do not have. i assume when I try to connect to Amazon EC2 I will have similar questions to above, without a detailed tutorial. Is there somewhere that I can find much more details instructions / tutorials for Windows and EC2? Or is much more previous knowledge assumed - than I might have? Note, I could live with one way sync to my web host - ie only upload new or updated files. Thanks ColinK
