Hi, thanks for replying. the folder was accessible to all users. I did check the permissions. i had to purge the old and new installs, reinstall the newer version of sync and the problem was fixed. thanks

ok just a bad migrate from the old to new. stuff works now. thanks.

I'll screen shot the error when i get home. but I think it was a 'cannot access this folder'. i installed the app from the instructions you have for linux. https://www.resilio.com/blog/sync-wd-raspberry-pi

I have a pi running bsync v2.0.128 and it connot access a folder folder is /home/[user]/share/sync share is a mount point of an external drive. it and all folders under belong to the base pi user.
