  1. By default, Resilio Sync uses self-signed certificate (no need to generate a new one) causing the browser to give a warning, here are several workarounds:
    https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/4404757430291-Browser-warning-Your-connection-is-not-private-

So, there is no much sense in generating the new self-signed certificate.

When one acquires a certificate from CA to protect access to Sync's WebUI, one should also specify the path to the private key ("ssl_private_key") :
    https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/206178884-Running-Sync-in-configuration-mode

  2. In Sync Free there is no "Disconnect" option.

If you're going to move the shared folder to another partition, it should be removed from Sync and added to Sync again from the new location (with a key or link from other peer if the shared folder is synced with someone).
The below guide should be of assistance:
    https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/205506569-Can-I-connect-two-pre-populated-pre-existing-folders-

  3. In the backup, Sync transfer the files once.
If the files are moved somewhere on the destination and Sync detects that the files are no longer in the backup there, it warns about this finding - then the user is to decide whether to re-download the files (Revert) or ignore the warning if it's okay.

But the next time resilio syncs, it resyncs all photos again.

Do you re-add Camera backup to Sync?
If no, please elaborate more on your setup: include the info about your peers, their OS, peculiarities about the storage if there are any.

  4. For those who encounter the same/similar issue:

"Documents" folder contains symbolic links (junctions) to the real folders: "My Music", "My Pictures", "My Videos" which usually cause errors about not enough permissions.
If UI ("Status" column and details from "Peers online") and History tab are not helpful, contact support with the debug logs.

  5. This is one of the extensions for Explorer. It happens that antivirus considers .dll malicious, but this is a false-positive reaction.

If you have any doubts, you can calculate MD5 or SHA1 checksum of ShellExtensionPath86_55F.dll file and let us compare. Don't forget to specify what version of Sync you have installed.

How can I find out where or what IP address the peer has and especially how can I disable it?

In the debug logs I can only find the peer names.

There must be IP as well; you can send logs to support for a check.

If it's Standard folder, the folder should be removed (on all peers) and added to Sync again.
If it's Advanced folder, the peer with "Owner" permissions can disconnect the shady peer.

You may also want to recreate the identity, if there is any suspicious peer linked to it.
