I'm having this problem and don't know how to go about diagnosing it. Hope someone can give some pointers. I have 5 computers, all of them Ubuntu (one 15.04, the rest 14.04.02), sharing a quite large folder (~50G size, ~150000 files). Clocks are properly synchronized now, they weren't in the past (with differences under 2 minutes) but after fixing that the issue still happens (and besides I think small clock differences aren't critical). Of these computers, only one is a laptop being sometimes off, the rest are always running. Btsync is from the unofficial server repo: $ wajig policy btsyn
Using v1.0.134, and syncing around 30 folders containing a total of 200,000 files my BT Sync has started to hang. It does it every time now. Memory usage peaks at startup (1.2GB-1.5GB) then settles down to 800-900MB. I run BT Sync on one machine using read-only keys from client machines each having a few shares. As it seems to be reproducible in all my tests I decided to set up a very simple environment to reproduce it. I don't think the configuration matters much as people in the forum seems to have the issue with Windows and Mac as well but here it is anyway : btsync 1.0.134 debian sid on both nodes one is amd64 the other i386. Tested also with a freebsd 9 server (Nas4Free x64) use the package provided by h
