  1. So i recently bought Sync Pro to use the selective sync function. I was under the impression that if you choose to sync a folder it will always keep the contents of said folder synced, even if something is added to this folder. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case, unless i'm missing something..? i currently feel like i bought pro for nothing
  2. First of all, I'm sorry for the terrible english. I'm just posting here because I'm really desperate. So good night, my name is Marcelo and I'd like to know if any of you could help me. This is my story: Tonight I had my first experience with BitTorrent. I was choosing the folder that I wanted to sync but I clicked the wrong folder. That's OK until here... Well, my first reaction was deleting the folder, so it would stop syncing, but I realized that the original folder (that was on my HD) was also deleted. I couldn't find any way to recover these deleted files, and it isn't in the Trash folder of my mac. Is there any way to recover these files?
  3. Hi Y'all I have used BitTorrent Sync for almost a year now, and it has worked great. I have synced hundreds of gigabytes data between Windows-Linux and Linux-Linux. The speed has been extremely high, with an upload to 60 MB/S (Default settings, encrypted data etc.). However, when i recently changed to a Windows server, everything slowed down. Now I get speeds from 100 KB/s to 2 MB/s, a big difference if you have to upload 1 TB of data. My setup: Both windows Pc (8,1 and Server 2008 R2) BitTorrent Sync 1.3.109 with predefined hosts, disabled relay server and LAN for forced predefined, disk priority is set to high, no encryption, no limit on local peers, buffert size maxed to 99999 and everything manually port forwarded in Windows firewall Connected with Cat6 cables, gigabit router and computers. I tried with the latest release of Sync, the speed spiked for a minute at 120 MB/s, then dropped to the regular speed. What am I doing wrong? Appreciate ALL Help!

  5. Hi guys, Looking for some help. I have two computer that I have set up to sync, but now I'm looking to create a back up on the laptop that also syncs an external drive. When I try and use the same key, bittorrent sync says "Selected folder is already uploaded". So I guess my question is: is there a way to get bittorrent to sync a total of 3 folders, with two of those being on the same computer? or should I look for another software to handle the two folders on the same computer? Thanks, -Myles
  6. Who can help me share a file (share will remain less than 300mb). I'll return the favor by helping you with your (comparable size) share :-) (-: Thanks, got enough help to do my testing :-)
  7. I'm trying to understand all the various advanced options, etc., and the Get Started page is frankly raising more questions than it answers. Is it possible that somebody could take another pass at this with an eye to being clear and explicit? I'll just cite a couple of examples: If what you call "secret" is actually the master secret, why not call it "master secret"? It would eliminate some possible confusion. "All the folders added with this secret will be granted a full set of permissions for two-way synchronization" seems needlessly complex. How about "All folders added with the master secret will be kept in sync"? Also, it's not clear whether more than one folder on a machine can be synced with the same master secret.
  8. Hi, I'm new to this whole thing. Some friends started a SYNC and shared the secret. On my mac, every time I input the secret it says "Can't open destined folder". The secret I'm inputting isn't wrong, because it is the exact same secret my friends were using.
  9. http://www.rakuten.com/prod/iomega-35538-ez-media-backup-center-1tb-nas-network-hard-drive/240501516.html So, a 1tb nas on sale for 60 bux, I'd love to use this for BTsync, but can anyone confirm that it will work? Thanks in advance, and if it can I hope the deal helps others
