  1. Sync apps for iOS and Android works great as a reader, which in turn makes Sync the perfect tool to publish an ezine. It provides anonymity for readers as there are no cookies involved and the content is encrypted between devices. Of course, the downside is that an ezine or a blog published using Sync will not be easily found via a search engine. Kind of like how a BBS worked. It usually got spread through word of mouth. I haven't published anything yet, but I am planning to give it a go. If you're interested in contributing, have a look here: http://dokterw.me/dottxt/

  4. Hello! BitSync is amazing. Ive been waiting for something like this (for free) since ages. But I'm facing some issues now. When I first downloaded sync I made a folder and shared the key among all my roommates, everything worked fine. But when I tried making the shared folder on my roommated comp and copied the secret key on my PC, it just wont work! I don't think PC or OS is the issue coz it was working fine for me! I've tried re installing the software, that same key is working on all the other PCs as well, all other PCs except mine! Any idea what's happening? Thanks a ton!
  5. Hello All, Over new years I decided to create a service for anyone to request an "always online" peer with a click of a button. I called it UseSync.com -- http://www.usesync.com I basically creates a synced folder on AWS and gives you the read-write and read-only secrets. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated Also, thank you for making BitTorrent Sync. I have been using it to transfer photos and videos from my mobile device to my desktop (as a USB cable replacement) and it works great. Omid
  6. Bittorrent hack - Virtual Private Network It always annoyed me a little, that sync providers have the mindset: “Either it all goes here, or it goes there…” Fact is I want remote control over my files from any device at any time, so this is the specification of how I have created my own VPN using BitTorrent Sync running as an OS agnostic background service… A Network Attached Storage. I have a 3Tb NAS with five folders: /BTsyncApp//BTsync/catalogue/BTsync/files/BTsync/shared/BTsync/devices/BTsyncApp contains the server application. It is not synchronized using BTsync. It is just the application
  7. Vole (http://vole.cc/) is worth listing here. I'm hoping for more development, especially an Android app.
