  1. I'm using the basic Sync app (not Pro) to synchronize a folder between my Samsung Note Pro tablet and my Motorola DROID Turbo 2 phone. It worked like a charm earlier today (synching several GBs of data both ways between my devices), but after disconnecting and reconnecting my phone to WiFi, now neither device can seem to "see" the other; each device shows the other as "Offline." Both are on the same WiFi network (don't think that's necessary, but they are), and both have Internet access. Restarting the Sync app on both devices hasn't made any difference. Is there any way to refresh that status?
  2. Hi. Through my learning curve with BTSync pro, I've created and destroyed (accidentally & on purpose) a number of devices that have been added to my identity. For some I was not able to un-link them from my identity before they were destroyed. Hence, they remain on the 'my devices' list, simply showing as offline. They don't appear to disappear over time of their own accord. How can I get rid of the phantom ones - ones that simply don't exist anymore ? I have 3 machines in my live community now, though I see de-installing & re-installing btsync on any device doesn't solve the problem. Once a freshly installed machine re-joins my identity again, the others tell it of all the phantom machines. If I delete everything from all devices & start over from scratch, will that solve it ? Might I run into a problem with my pro licence ? or is there a simply way ? Thanks all.

I have been using BTSync for a while and still have some old folders from the v1.2/v1.4 beta time (or whatever the version was in the beginning) in case this could be relevant or help troubleshooting my issue. I never noticed any problems with my folders, but since I recently linked my devices and connected a couple of folders (now using v2.3), some inconsistencies became apparent. A couple of folders (most likely the oldest ones) only seem to only have a single "READ-ONLY" key when looking into the "Preferences > View Key" section of BTSync. However, when hovering over them with the mouse, they are shown as "Read & Write Standard Folder". The symbol also looks plain normal without the read-only indicator inside the app as well as inside Finder (I am using OS X). So far so good. Today, I linked another device with my main computer and noticed that on this machine the connected folder is shown as read-only in the Finder view. However, it still listed as a Read & Write folder inside BTSync (with the default folder icon). It obviously it also only has a "Read-only" key, same as on my main computer. When I add files on this machine, it appears they do not get synced. As I never added this as a read-only folder or want this to be the case - how can I change it? All I found is this outdated article: but it seems you can no longer find an "Update Key" button in the folder preferences So would I have to remove this folder and re-add it (loosing connections to other machines in the process) ? Or is there another way to "upgrade" this folder to behave just like the other ones?
  4. Hi there, Is there a way to remove a few linked devices from the devices list that are not used anymore? While setting up BitTorrent Sync on two Androids, the program kept crashing a few times, which forced me to reconfigure the setup. No problem, it happens, but it did link already with another "main" device, and on there the two unused devices are staying "out of sync" in the list. Any way to remove those? Thanks!
  5. Hi, I have a problem, in column of connected devices is shown my other device but after 10 sec it's disappears, and after another 10 sec it's show again, and so on. Furthermore, after 30 mins it stops syncing at all. I have to kill btsync process, and start it again. Devices ; 1.) Zyxel NSA 310 (arm) 2.) Netgear readynas v2 (arm)
  6. Dear all, I have been using Bitttorent Sync for some time already and everything was OK until recently. Now, I think this started one I upgraded to new version, my two mac computers (iMac and MacPro) simply can not see each other anymore. Both computers are connected to the same LAN. Does anybody know what's the problem? Kind regards, Marko
  7. Hello! My organization is using BTS to share content with our readers who are unable to access our main website due to internet connectivity issues in their area. We would love to be able to track the number of readers that are following our content via BTS at any given time. I assume we would need to equate number of readers with number of devices (that are using the read-only key). Is that correct? Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated.
