  1. Hello Everyone! I have around of ten folders syncyng through ten different devices. And its amount is increasing. Some of my folders have "Encrypted folders" feature and I have theses keys only for encrypted sotrage. But some folders don't have these "Encrypted folders" keys. So, the questions is - how can I can the Encrypted Folder key for an ordinary folder?
  2. I've created a rslsync encrypted folder on my NAS (QNAP TS119, Marvell Kirkwood SOC) and added the encrypted key to a rslsync folder on a vserver. This setup won't sync apparently due to failing hash checks at the vserver. Syncing to another target (Notebook, Arch Linux, Linux 4.8.11, x86_64, rslsync 2.4.2, r/w key) works in all directions (NAS <-> Laptop, vserver <-> Laptop). I think I've quoted the relevant logfile entries, if not the full logfiles are attached. Many thanks for your support! Setup V-Server: platform: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.36-1+deb8u2 (2016-10-19) x86_64 version: 2.4.2.708 Nas: platform: Linux 3.16.0-4-kirkwood #1 Debian 3.16.36-1+deb8u2 (2016-10-19) armv5tel version: 2.4.2.708 Logfiles vserver: [20161206 12:20:11.310] TF[B140] [0x00007f2fec00bbe0][/home/rslsync/shares/sync/UPBWW6NDNON4BVATGDQ53XO3QLABMZKYQM3CBHU4FS762DNIFFZ45FIIV62EEXCXA5L563TAI4ZJ4OCHOJ3J3VOXKGRUYYLZXUPB3VA5T5EXSI4RFNFRDW5BFALKZG3GWY6KRAM7WY66XDSPXSTSXTIANQXXGQ53S6IOM5VBTVOWX42DW7RXITYAOMEF52M6RUO6EGA26BTEVLKXLS5AN4KMGE]: state:DOWNLOAD error: meta:1 conns:1 io:0 [20161206 12:20:11.310] PD[B140] [6D82]: Sending ping to "192.168.1.10:60064" [20161206 12:20:11.395] SyncFolderNotify: SyncFolderNotify: "D76B709F276A8B29F9CB7AD9DFF601CB96917C33.!sync", event = "IN_MODIFY" [20161206 12:20:11.395] [OnNotifyFileChange] "/home/rslsync/shares/sync/.sync/D76B709F276A8B29F9CB7AD9DFF601CB96917C33.!sync" [20161206 12:20:11.395] TF[B140] [0x00007f2fec00bbe0][/home/rslsync/shares/sync/UPBWW6NDNON4BVATGDQ53XO3QLABMZKYQM3CBHU4FS762DNIFFZ45FIIV62EEXCXA5L563TAI4ZJ4OCHOJ3J3VOXKGRUYYLZXUPB3VA5T5EXSI4RFNFRDW5BFALKZG3GWY6KRAM7WY66XDSPXSTSXTIANQXXGQ53S6IOM5VBTVOWX42DW7RXITYAOMEF52M6RUO6EGA26BTEVLKXLS5AN4KMGE]: *** PIECE 155 FAILED HASH CHECK [20161206 12:20:11.395] TF[B140] [0x00007f2fec00bbe0][/home/rslsync/shares/sync/UPBWW6NDNON4BVATGDQ53XO3QLABMZKYQM3CBHU4FS762DNIFFZ45FIIV62EEXCXA5L563TAI4ZJ4OCHOJ3J3VOXKGRUYYLZXUPB3VA5T5EXSI4RFNFRDW5BFALKZG3GWY6KRAM7WY66XDSPXSTSXTIANQXXGQ53S6IOM5VBTVOWX42DW7RXITYAOMEF52M6RUO6EGA26BTEVLKXLS5AN4KMGE]: sending bad piece 155 to peer [6D82] nas: [20161206 12:20:11.415] PC[0xb483aab8][0xb3e63360][138.201.92.183:60064:TUNNELL] got bad piece 155 [20161206 12:20:12.313] TF[B140] [0xb3e63360][<< Path to file removed >>]: state:SEED error: meta:1 conns:1 io:0 nas-sync.tar.xz vserver-sync.tar.xz
  3. Hi there, it would be great to improve support encrypted folders on iPhone. I use Sync between my local Mac mini, my iPhone, and my VPS Server. The remote VPS serves as a “cloud” that I own. Sync is definitely the fastest way for me to keep identical data on multiple machines, including an iOS app for access on the go. Examples: - macOS (online) <-> iOS (online) - macOS (offline) <-> VPS (online) <-> iOS (online) - macOS (online) <-> VPS (online) <-> iOS (offline) - etc... I don't want to store my sensitive data on VPS Server without encryption. If I add Encryption Folder on macOS and store encrypted data on VPS server, I've an issues with sync on iPhone - Sync consumes double amount of memory and CPU power, - Several files couldn't be available on iOS (if my macOS will be offline) I've sended requests #55434 and #55500, but there is nothing useful in that simple use case. You made a great functionality - Encrypted Folders - , please make it useful on all my devices. Thanks
  4. This is probably a dumb question, but I haven't been able to find the answer in the forum or the support areas. What I would like to do is to sync files on two computers (COMPUTER-1 and COMPUTER-2) by using a third computer that is always online (ALWAYS-ONLINE-COMPUTER) using an Encrypted Folder, so the ALWAYS-ONLINE-COMPUTER only sees encrypted data, but COMPUTER-1 and COMPUTER-2 can sync even if they aren't both online simultaneously. And I would like the sync to be bi-directional, so files changed/added/deleted on COMPUTER-1 are synced to COMPUTER-2, and files changed/added/deleted on COMPUTER-2 are synced to COMPUTER-1. Is there a way to do that? I created an Encrypted Folder on COMPUTER-1 and added it to ALWAYS-ONLINE-COMPUTER using the Encrypted key. And the files successfully synced from COMPUTER-1 to ALWAYS-ONLINE-COMPUTER in encrypted form. What do I do next? How do I sync the files to COMPUTER-2 from ALWAYS-ONLINE-COMPUTER? Would I use the Read & Write key from COMPUTER-1 (but wouldn't that cause COMPUTER-2 to try to connect directly to COMPUTER-1)? Thanks for any help.
  5. Let say we have 2 machines running btsync, syncing an encrypted folder. One machine (source) has the unencrypted read/write version. The other (backup) has only the encrypted version of the folder. We regularly do back up of btsync data folder on the backup machine, including the encrypted folder. Now for some reasons, both source and backup have failed. How can we restore the data from the encrypted folder (we still have the keys - for rw, ro, encrypted)? I tried to copy the encrypted folder to btsync data folder on another machine, but it doesn't work. Needless to day, the data is highly valuable to us. Any help will be appreciated.
  6. Hi everyone, Is there a standard/recommended procedure to migrate/upgrade a regular Sync folder to the new Encrypted Folder option? I have a couple folders that have nodes on 3rd party servers where I'd love to start encrypting them. Should I just have every node disconnect the current folder (but don't delete the data), and set up a new Sync folder one the same directory? I've been trying to search for this answer, and I've seen at least one person ask this question on the blog post with no answer. Thanks!
