  1. Hello community, i have problems to start the service as current user. Because there is no /usr/lib/systemd/user/resilio-sync.service file. So i can't change "WantedBy=default.target". As user rslsync the service works perfect. Here is a status output. antaeus@ideapad:~> systemctl --user status resilio-sync.service ● resilio-sync.service - Resilio Sync service Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/resilio-sync.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled) Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Wed 2017-11-08 13:27:43 CET; 28min ago Docs: https://help.getsync.com/ Process: 9897 ExecStartPre=/bin/mkdir -p /var/run/resilio-sync (code=exited, status=216/GROUP) Thank you very much, and excuse me for my bad english
  2. Good morning, I am trying to install Resilio Sync Home on Mac OS X 10.10.5 and it does not allow me to install it since it indicates that it is damaged and can not be opened I downloaded it with different browser and from another computer passing it to this but the problem persists Attached screenshot to see that error. A greeting.
  3. Hi to everyone, I've followed this tutorial and installed resilio sync on a raspberry model B Jessie (specs below); everything works, but since that moment, when I try to run apt-get update I get an error related to ARMEL architecture, maybe because Raspbian Jessie is ARMHF. 4. OK, so I recently noticed that my files weren't being synced, so I went to check in the desktop app to see what the deal was (I didn't upgrade to Resilio Sync yet). Turns out, Sync wasn't running and the shortcut I had in the start menu wasn't working either. I went and downloaded Resilio Sync, but that didn't install correctly either. I went into the appdata folder for it and only found debug.txt and sync.log. The debug.txt only contains the following: "FFFFFFFF0" and the contents of sync.log are as follows: platform: Windows workstation 10.0 amd64 version: 2.4.1.672 [2016-10-29 11:20:09] ZIP: Can't locate [version] in zip, error -100. [11:23:15.029] Debug log mask has been set to FFFFFFFF [11:23:15.029] Features mask has been set to 0 [2016-10-29 11:23:15] ZIP: Can't locate [version] in zip, error -100. The only recent change that I think could have an effect was that I recently installed Malwarebytes for a random bit of malware that I found.
  5. ...and then I get the UAC dialog that asks to give Sync permission to make changes to the PC. Every time. Even though I'm logged on as an Administrator. And I was logged on to the same account when I installed it just moments ago. Is there a way to have Sync run normally like other programs? (Windows 10 Pro x64)
  6. Wouldn't it be nice to allow remote update of Sync to latest version? Sometimes we share folders with people who don't have enough knowledge to check each and every way to update their numerous software on their computer but need to cooperate with theirs colleagues by sharing files. Some other software (e.g. Teamviewer) allows to get control of their computer to do this update/upgrade but it is a bit cumbersome. The same software (Teamviewer) allows for its part to be updated on a remote computer, straight from the local computer. Couldn't it be that Sync do the same?
  7. 8. Hello, I try to install the resilio sync by the guide (amd64 architecture) https://help.getsync.com/hc/en-us/articles/206178924-Installing-Sync-package-on-Linux And I get the error: The following packages have unmet dependencies: resilio-sync:armhf : Depends: libc6:armhf (>= 2.4) but it is not installable E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. 9. I'm a linux newbie, so still fumbling my way forward at this stage. I've installed lubuntu onto an old 32-bit laptop & am now looking at installation & configuration. There appears to be two methods to install. Either find the appropriate package to download & install, such as.. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tuxpoldo/btsync sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install btsync or, to simply download & unpack, such as... tar xzpf btsync_glibc23_x64.tar.gz Are there pros vs. cons of either approach ? (I followed the latter as I couldn't get the package method to work. Google is littered with different examples of package install, from past versions & years, so I'm just firing off blindly... and missing my target) At the moment I have to login & execute btsync manually ./btsync from my home directory. Can anyone advise how I can get it to execute on boot ? I'm planning to remove as much irrelevant software as possible - this machine will be used only for syncing - is there anything important that BTsync relies upon that I ought not delete ? Thanks all, PaulU
  10. Hello, I really like bt sync, and I tried to install Bittorrent Sync on two Windows 10 stations numerous times, but I never succeeded to install it in a way that works properly for non-admin users. I tried: both the 32 bit and 64 bit installersInstalling as admin and non-admin userManually removing both the %APPDATA%/BitTorrent Sync/ and all bt sync related entries in the registry before running the installer again These are the issues I encounter: The installer asks whether it should create a desktop symbol and run bt sync on startup. I enable both options, but both options have no effect (no shortcut, doesn't start on windows startup)After the installation, Windows doesn't seem to know anything about bt sync: it doesn't appear in the start menu, and using the windows search yields only the bt sync folder that is created for synchronized content.I have to manually browse to the %APPDATA%/BitTorrent Sync/ folder to locate the .exe to launch the programEverytime I run the .exe, I am prompted for adminisitrator credentials. The details indicate that bt sync always want to install the app again: /PERFORMINSTALL 128 Is this the expected behavior? Should it be possible to install bt sync like a regular windows application, i.e., prompt once for admin credentials, install the executable to the programs folder, create the user-specifc %APPDATA%/BitTorrent Sync folder when the application is launched by a specific user? Any help is greatly appreciated, as I would really like to use bt sync regularly.
  11. I hope this isnt a really dumb mistake, but I've added the ppa repository, updated, then tried to install with no luck. It looks like certain items were not found while adding the repository(shows failed at the very end, Get 26). Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Is it just an issue with the ppa? 12. On Windows for me the program automatically installs to "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\BitTorrent Sync" and I have found no way to change this. Is it possible? It feels a bit strange to have a program installed in the user profile path and not in "Program Files". My real problem is that I try to run the program as a service on a Windows Server 2008 (using SC.exe) but since the program is located under my user profile the service that is run from "Local System" can't access it.
  13. Hi, I'm trying to install Sync 2.2.2.112 x64 on a Windows 10 Pro x64 machine, using a normal user account and an admin account. Trying to install Sync, Win asks for admin password. After that, Sync is installed into c:\Users\useraccount\AppData\Roaming\BitTorrent Sync\ instead of c:\Program Files\ And it neither appears in Start Menu nor the Desktop (as selected at installation). There's also no way for Autostart without entering admin password. And no way to regularly uninstall and reinstall because there's no entry in the Apps & Features menu. Any suggestion? Thanks! EmmWeh
  14. I downloaded BitTorrent-Sync_x64.exe v2.1.1.65 and tried to run it; my cursor shows progress momentarily and then the program quits without launching the installer. Is Windows 10 supported? Update: I occasionally can get the "install" dialog to come up. I use the defaults and click "install" and it closes the dialog and exits without installing anything -- no items on the desktop, nothing in Program Files. Inexplicably *one time* it actually launched BitTorrent Sync and it ran perfectly until I exited; now I still can't find the program files, and there is no listing under Programs and Features in Control Panel. Pretty confused here.
  15. My friend is having trouble with opening the installation files on his computer. They ask for permission to open, and then nothing happens. I am not sure if he uses 32 bit or 64 bit, but we have tried both installers.
  16. Dear All, Is it possible to distribute own application without need to install Bittorent Sync on customer's machine. e.g. just include dlls and cfg in own installation. thanks in advance, dima
  17. Hi, I would like to use the API with php. My installation is on windows and I cant make it work! As far as now : I got a "sync.conf" file but the command don't run the programme silently : "C:\Program Files (x86)\BitTorrent Sync>BTSync.exe /config sync.conf" i'm trying to check if it work on chrome, looking at localhost:8888/gui 127.0.0.1:8888/gui And with a php wrapping of the API with wamp : "https://github.com/iGARET/BTSync-PHP" my sync.conf : { "storage_path" : "./", "use_gui" : true, "webui" : { "listen" : "127.0.0.1:8888", //"login" : "<someusername>", //"password" : "<somepassword>", "api_key" : "API-KEY" }} index.php : <?php include("btsync.php"); $client = new BTSync(); $p = $client->getFolders(); var_dump($client); var_dump($p);?>
  18. I'm new to this, but I've followed all the instruction to install this app on my TS-412. 1) I've tried to install the app from the Store, however once I enter the account details I get the error "Web Page Not Available", So I've un-installed and removed the BitTorrentSync folder from the .qpkg folder. 2) I've tried to follow the instructions on this site to do it manually, however when I try to run the ./make.sh I get the error "qbuild is required......" The saw this on the forum and tried the symlink but I then get an error of "ln: /bin/bash: File Exists" 3) Now tried to download the arm version from the BTSync site and it won't install under a manual, even after un-tar. My QNAP has been recently rebuilt with firmware 4.1.0. Any ideas or help would be appreciated..
  19. Hello, I would like to install Bt Sync on my Raspberry pi but I've issues : 1/ I don't find the the repository of the arm version. 2/ If I try to install with the tar.gz package, I can run btsync but I have a permissions access problem and I can't set the autostart service. Sorry for my english, I'm a french beginner. Thanks for your help. Best regards Christophe
  20. I installed Sync on my main computer (Win 7) and added a folder for syncing. Then installed sync on my secondary computer (Win 8.1) and connected the two devices. The sync process started but then stopped. As I could not sort this out, I uninstalled Sync from my seondary computer through "Systemsteuerung" ("system"?). Now, when I reinstall Sync, the main window for working with Sync (Folders, Devices, etc.) opens up and I do not have a chance to access dialog box to enter the secret in order to connect to the folder on my main computer. Can anybody help me get started here, please?
  21. Hi I would like to know how to install BT Sync into my Arm based NAS. I copied the unzipped arm based version of BT Sync into a folder in the NAS and then click on it. It gave me this message in the terminal. 22. Bug: fatal (installation program) I downloaded and ran BTSync.exe (md5sum 25f28dc590bf4bd651447c03e74cd159). I elected to install it on a Windoze XP machine, and made the installation directory a directory on a NAS which was seen by the OS as Z:\. When I was prompted for a directory to "sync," I chose to browse for one, got a list of drives and directories on my computer, and selected a directory, specifically one called Z:\XFER At this point a window popped up reporting the crash, and offering me to send in a report to the developers, which I hope it did. At this junction, I shall attempt to reproduce the error, following the same steps. Yes. The bug happens the same way (screenshot attached), however, this time, the installation program cycles back to the standard installation/I have a secret screen. I can then keep cycling to selecting a directory and crashing. I'll be happy to try it again when you fix the installation program, or to provide you with additional details to help you find out what went wrong, in case you did not receive a crash report from the installation program (I sent it twice).
