  1. Hi there, I just bought a license for Sync Home Pro 5 seats. When I was unfamiliar with the software, I made and unlink many identities, but I eventually ended up using only one identity right now to connect 6 devices together. All devices are working fine and syncing the files. I have 2 questions about licensing, though. 1. How do I count the number of seats? My understanding is 5 seats mean using 5 different identities concurrently, while each identity can connect to many, many devices. Is this correct? Would the identities I made and unlinked from all devices
  2. I've been using Sync Home Pro on my unRAID server and other devices just fine for a while now. Today, I purchased an upgrade to a Family license, applied the new license key, but nothing seems to have changed. There doesn't seem to be any way for me to add/share seats. The link below seems to indicate that there should be a "Share License: Email, Copy" functionality in my License settings, but there is not. I can see no indication that my new license is a Family license. https://help.resilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/204762369-How-to-activate-remove-a-license-seat-
  3. Hi everybody, I have just recently started using resilio sync. I have bought a home pro license and would like to create an own identity for mobile phone (Android). However, it seems that there is no possibility to enter license information in the Android app. So my question is: am I simply not finding the dialog to enter my license key or is this option missing? I am very well aware of the fact that I can link the app on my phone to any of my identities, but as my other identities contain files that I cannot make available to my phone (security/privacy reasons). Hence, the need for
  4. Hello I de-activate accidentally my sync and now when i log into my license console to download the file I keep getting this message : "We appear to be having technical difficulties, please wait a moment and try again." It's a temporary thing? How I can download the license? thanks
  5. Hello, I'm a BitTorrent Sync Pro user, When I want to transfer to Resilio Sync, I find there are some problems: 1. Do I have to buy a new License? Can I still use my old Pro License? 2. How should I transfer my configurations from BitTorrent Sync to Resilio Sync? (I find that there is a tutorial for iOS version, but I don't find that for PC version) Thanks.
  6. I am trying to share a Resilio Business Seat with a Windows7 PC running Sync as a Service. On my own Win7 computer, I'm managing the Business Licenses and provide the link to the other computer, but since it's a Service accessed through the WebUI, it can't open the btsync:// file. I've reinstalled Sync without the Service, and it picks up the License easily. So, I then reinstalled the Service and it appears to be a separate application because it still says it's for Personal Use. I'd like to get this to work because I'd like to be able to sync files even when I'm not specifically logge
  7. Edit: Moved to different subforum. Sorry! Here's the link to the new post. I am trying to share a Resilio Business Seat with a Windows7 PC running Sync as a Service. 8. I have a customer (law firm) that needs to set up an "ad hoc" private cloud for a short term project. There are several external clients involved in the project. The customer is prepared to purchase a 20-seat Business license for this purpose. How does this work when activating the license? - does the owner have a 20-seat license in the sharing key? - do the owner (my customer) share a license code with the other participants during the project? - do the customer withdraw the license code from the participants to re-use them for another participant? - or does the application stop worki
  9. My RPi seems dead which ive joined with my Pro license. in my other machines Sync UI, i see that i can "hide" my RPi, but not unlink it. Can i avoid that dead RPi (broken sd) alocating 1 of my 10 Pro licenswd devices? (and hanging around in my UI for no use)?
  10. Running Sync 2.2.1 (104) on Synology NAS. Just purchased a Personal Pro License. It says to copy the link to the keyfile and paste that into the Manual Connection box. Each time it says 'Invalid Link' The link is valid, and it downloads the .btskey if pasted into a browser. I do also have the *.btskey file, can I do anything with this? How do I go about licensing my NAS? Allow us to upload the keyfile directly! -=zdz=-
  11. Hi, I have some problem (maybe I don't understand something) how to make 1-way sync working. I have a server (in France) and my home PC (Italy). I need to sync between these 2 system but I want-need that the sync works only in 1 way from Server to HomePC. I have installed the license on my server using the GUI but seems that don't work correctly. Infact under License Info it says that the owner of license is username@Home (sincerly don't know if this is correct; I think that the license needs to be linked to the server). Anyway, I try to sync some folder using advanced option and selecting
  12. My purchased Pro licence is not being applied to all my devices. Details: I am using Sync version 2.0.128 (36) on 2 Ubuntu Linux desktops, and version 2.0.107.0 of the app on an Android phone. All are using the same Sync Identity. I have bought the Pro licence and activated/applied/installed it on one of the desktops. This device now shows the licence is installed. But my second desktop has not had the licence automatically applied as the documentation says it will - the 'upgrade to Pro' link is still there. This is despite syncing taking place for the last 90 minutes between the 2 deskt
  13. Hi all, I'm a network administrator at the International School of Hamburg. Your software is amazing, we were using it for a year while it was free for us. Now we have to update to the 2.0 version but it means that we have to buy a license and update it every year. Do you have a special conditions for schools and universities, educational programs, etc? We'd love to continue using your amazing soft, but 40 dollars per identity is too much for our school. Regards, Sergey.
  14. I have read the posts and help pages but couldn't find the answer, Is this possible or better legal? I create a personal identity COMPANY INC. and share the identity on all devices. Or in a smaller group: COMPANY INC. Workgroup B? Thanks for clarification.
  15. Just got an email saying that Sync Pro has arrived. It offered a whopping $10 discount (you've got to be kidding ??). I have spent many, many hour on working with 2.0 and working around a plethora of bugs and anomalies. It think this would amount to $0.10 per hour, or so. The biggest problem is that no one at BitTorrent has ever told me what exactly Sync Pro is, or more importantly, what Sync Free actually is? Come on!! At least you have to tell us what the free version can do. Can it at least do what 1.4 could?? How about a spec? Or real documentation? I don't think I have ever worked on a
  16. I can't find a straight answer on this. I would like to use BT Sync at work for what is light but nonetheless 'Commercial' use. Per http://www.bittorrent.com/legal/eula it is licensed for non-commercial use only - but that eula is basically a coverplate. BitTorrent Customer Support's reply is simply - "Thank you for reporting this issue to us. (...) Currently Customer Support is only available to subscribers of Plus and Ad-Free. We suggest visiting the BitTorrent Forums at http://forums.bittorrent.com." The contact at the end of the EULA legal@bittorrent.com has not given me a acknowledgment
