Hello, I recently shared a folder with 40 files with a group pf people. The files were shared as "read only". My questions: 1) If after someone has "synced in" (downloaded all the files to his device) removes or alters one of the files, does this will be reflected in my 'original' folder? I assume that not because they were shared as "read only" right? 2) Let's say I share this folder with 10 persons. If 3 persons already got "synced in" (got the folder and all its content), this will make it faster for the remaining persons to get the files? 3) Why I have a couple of folders I shared as "Out of sync" and how should I fix this? This seems to be a very common question. Thanks!
I have two computers that I sync and everything worked perfectly until shortly after I upgraded. I now get a status that says "out of sync" and it says there are no peers online. After I disconnected the folder then reconnected, it worked fine for a couple of days but is now back to not syncing. Both machines are running OS 10.9.5 and have version 1.4.93.
For the past two days, one computer has received no sync updates, though changes are made frequently. Log file shows activity as it should be but, the old file is still in place with the changed file not to be found. The receiving folder is read only. Release: 1.4.93 with file size of 4902 running on Windows 7 machines.
Hi, I have two Android devices (one Android v4.2.2, the other v4.4.2) both running v220.127.116.11, and an Ubuntu 14.04 machine running v1.4.0-4. I have created some read-only (I think now called 'backup' in v1.4?) syncs on my Android devices, which I'm syncing to my Ubuntu box. One of these is working, but a couple of them show as "Out Of Sync" on both the Android client and the Ubuntu web gui. My hunch is that this happened after I changed the .sync/IgnoreList and restarted btsync on the Ubuntu machine. In the sync.log on the Ubuntu machine, the two folders that are not syncing both generate this error [20140914 16:20:28.325] Trash: scan for folder "/<folder-path-removed>/.sync/Archive" started, max file age = 30 days [20140914 16:20:28.325] Trash: scan for folder "/<folder-path-removed>/.sync/Archive" finished [20140914 16:20:28.325] Trash: GetFileList failed for folder "/<folder-path-removed>/.sync/Streams" - error 2 I don't know if this is related to the issue. I haven't changed the .sync/Streams file, only .sync/IgnoreList. Without removing the target directories on the Ubuntu machine and starting again, can anyone suggest how to clear this "out of sync" situation? Cheers, --Dave
