  1. Hello. Until a few days ago I synced my music library between my PC and my Android phone on the internal storage of my Android phone. Everything worked fine. But it's gotten pretty big so I decided to move it to my SD card. In the Resilio app I disconnected, deleted the folder on internal storage, changed the default storage for the folders on Resilio to my SD card and connected to the library on my PC again. In the file explorer everything works. The music files are there. When I click on them in the file explorer I can open them in a music player and they play. But if I open the music player it (the folder with the music) either doesn't show up at all (Pulsar Music Player and others), or it shows up but I can't see the titles (the Sony music app). When the library was in the internal storage everything worked just fine. And when I move the library manually to the SD card (using my PC) everything works, too. It only doesn't work when Resilio sync the library to the SD card. Is there any solution to this?
  2. Hi there, I loved Resilio sync through the years. Though now with a new phone and new SD card (that doesn't have file system errors), I notice an issue. I have my phone set up to take photos to my SD card. Then I've configured Resilio Sync to sync those photos with my desktop. They are synced, but the taskbar icon of Resilio Sync on my desktop keeps spinning. Also when bringing Resilio Sync to the foreground on the desktop, it keeps indicating that the camera folder share is not 100% synced. Sometimes 67%, sometimes 85%, and when I look which files are in the queue, then these are so called "hidden fuse" files. I can't find these files though, except sometimes just one of those files. When deleting that file, it doesn't solve the issue. When removing the sync link, and setting it up over again, it again syncs to 100%, until I make a new photo on my phone. This problem doesn't happen when I use the internal storage, which I rather not do, because of the amount of free space. Any suggestions what I can do? Thanks so much in advance! Dennis
  3. Hello, I originally queued this post in the similar thread posted by forum member shai, but in the end I decided to move in a new thread since the two problems are unrelated and the problem reported by shai seem to be explained, but the solution is not applicable to my case. In the past week I have been using the trial period of Resilio Sync Home Pro to evaluate if it could fit with my use case which is the synchronization of some folders on my personal computer with my android phone. I have been very impressed by the capabilities of the application but unfortunately I encountered an annoying problem. In fact I shared the DCIM folder of my phone (on SD card) with the PC to transfer photos, which in fact were transferred correctly. Unfortunately when I deleted the photos from the PC expecting them to be deleted also on the phone, I noticed (with a file explorer) that only a subset of the photos were actually deleted. Which photos were deleted was quite unpredictable. On the other hand, viewing the folder contents from the internal Resilio Sync app all the photos were removed. Note that the problem did never occur when the DCIM folder was moved in phone internal memory. The setup that I used was the following: - Two phones tested: Moto G4 Plus (Android 7) and Sony Xperia XZ1 (Android 8) : problem occurred on both - Dell Venue 8 Pro with Win 10 on the other side - Micro SD Sandisk 200 GB formatted ExFAT - Linked devices, advanced folders Could you please provide a possible solution to this problem? I look forward to purchase and use Sync but obviously I would prefer to store data on SD. Thank you for your support Best regards
  4. Hello, I had a problem when I switched SD cards (disabling synchronization temporarily). My sync folders are in the first SD card, but I needed to use a second one temporarily and when I put the main SD card, that has the sync folders, back on sync said it didn't have permission on the folders. Thank you
  5. Hi! I've setup a sync between one of my android phones and my NAS which seems to work fairly well. The major issue I'm confronted with is that I've set my phone to store new pictures on an SD card and it seems that Resilio Sync is referenced to the DCIM folder on the phone storage rather than the SD card. Long story short the wrong folder is being synced. Am I missing something? The phone I'm using is an Honor 8 on Android 6.0.
  6. Hey Guys - I use BTSync (Pro) to synchronize many folders between multiple devies - one of which is my Nvidia Shield Tablet which runs Lollipop 5.1.1. When first moving to 5.1.1 a few months ago, I rooted it and added a 64gb SD card. I then edited "/etc/permissions/platform.xml" to add the  "WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE" string therefore providing all apps with full write to the SD card. I installed BTsync, set up my options, and linked 4-5 folders to various folders on the SD card without issue. Besides BTSync, I use FolderMount to create symlinks on my internal SD so that I may store all my large games / apps externally. Today, I renamed a folder on my PC so had to set up the pair again. The Issue When in BTSync in Android, I choose to link the folder, but could only select a folder from the internal SD - not the external one as before! When I go to select the folder, it asks if I want to use on on the Phone Storage or SD Card, but either I pick show the same thing: a screen with "Recent" as the only choice. From that screen, I can hide / unhide the internal SD, but see no reference to the external one. There are no errors, I just can't see / browse to it! I am sure this is due to a BTSync update from the past few months as I haven't changed the OS or anything else. All other applications still have full access to the external SD, too. How may I get the external SD to show as an option in this newest version of BTSync? If it makes a difference, I still have the default folder path in Advanced Options set to "/storage/sdcard1" (which I believe is the external one and sdcard0 is internal) and Simple Mode disabled yet when I try to even create a new folder from the app; I can't browse to the external SD card either. Please help - Thanks!
  7. I have five devices in my sync network: two desktop PCs (win7), 1 laptop PC (win 8.1), one iphone 6+, and one android phone (Sony Z1 compact android v5.0.2). I turned on "Camera backup" on the iPhone and connected it to the SD card on the android phone. This causes the Android phone to go into "indexing" mode endlessly, which quickly drains the battery on the phone. There are 7.6GB of photos on the iphone. It works fine when I use the built-in storage on the Android phone, I only have this problem when I use the SD card. No problem syncing with the PCs. I have tried several times wiping the files, renaming the folders, etc. I have tried creating another "test" folder and tried syncing that to the android SD card, and that works fine. I have other sync folders and they work fine. Only time I have this problem is with the iPhone camera backup syncing with the Android SD card. Is this a bug? Is there any workaround? It works fine when I store the sync folder on the Android internal storage, but the internal storage on the android phone just doesn't have enough space ... I have to use the SD card. Craig
  8. I am currently running Android 5 Lollipop with Sync 2.0.83.0 installed. I am trying to point Sync's default save location to my Music folder on my SD card. However, I keep getting an error stating "Android OS restricts write access to this directory" wherever I try and create a folder or select a folder on my SD card. I thought this restriction had been removed in Lollipop so apps can write to their own created folders on SD cards? I can grant write access to other apps, such as file explorer apps which I can copy and move files with to the SD card with no issues. I really need to be able to sync to my SD card as I have many GBs of music I want to store there. Does anyone have a fix after having similar problems?
