Sometimes the Bittorrent Sync system tray icon is not present. It's not that it's hidden. It simply is not present. In Control Panel -> Notification Area Icons, I've even tried 'Always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar' to make sure it's not there at all, and it's definitely not. I also tried 'Restore default icon behaviors' just to be sure, but Bittorrent Sync is definitely not reliably creating its system tray icon. Interestingly, the Bittorrent Sync process is running and it seems to be working. If I run the executable manually (even though it is already running),

I am running Windows Server 2012 R2 Core on my machine. I use BitTorrent Sync to synchronize and backup my valuable Documents. But I want to add another Folder-pair, for which I need to access the System Tray since BitTorrent Sync resides there. I can install the full GUI, but i'd rather not and I want to know if there is a way to access it without Explorer. (To clarify, I have access to the Command Prompt and the Power Shell)
