m1bxd
Hi,What determines the sync interval? Is it setable - 'cus I can't spot it!Cheers Mark
wscott
Not sure there is one. It uses filesystem change notifications so it should start syncing as soon as a file changes or a new file appears. However based on some comments, I believe btsync assumes the system clocks between systems are synchronized and that can cause some delays. kos13
If file changes were not picked up real-time, for some reasons, Sync will rescan folder every 10 minutes to see if there were some changes.
geox
So does it use some event watcher (like gamin on linux) so it gets notified on directory changes?Does that also mean that I could set the folder_rescan_interval to one day (=84600) and still most file changes would get picked up?I am asking because I really do not want my PC to keep its disks active all the time. I use the sync as a real background sync so it doesnt matter that sometimes it would take a whole day to pickup any changes.(Sorry for replying to such an old thread)

I guess you could probably set an unlimited interval, if you only access the files on a central server through Bittorrent Sync.So longDoc Green
