Pochi
Does it take a long time to connect to a peer? Is there anything I should have set on norton firewall to allow connections? I am the DMZ and i have BitTorrent Sync set to allow and my peer and I are using the same key and his firewall is off entirely. Im going to try turning my firewall off entirely but any suggestions would be appreciated.
yottabit
It's generally quick if firewall isn't interfering, and indexing is finished. Search these forums for many many many useful threads about ports, firewalls, etc.
Pochi
i enabled search dht network and it worked.. why is that off by default? does that need to be checked if its over internet?
yottabit
If DHT enabled it to work, you have firewall issues. DHT is there for sort of last resort scenario since it's slow to discover and very chatty.
rdebath
heh, heh.DHT Chatty! Look at the packets, it's positively laconic compared to the rest of BTSync.BTSync really has a network motormouth at the moment.
