Linux Server - Out Of Memory (version 1.1.42)

Completely dies after running for a while (day?).

oom-killer kicks in and kills btsync. I tried to circumvent that yesterday my changing the oom parameters for btsync but that lead to my system completely dieing.

Here is what was in the syslog the 1st time the oom-likker was called.

The system kept on killing processes until it completely died 4 hours later.

I've tremoved the OOM adjustment now.

The db file is 282M in size with 110728 files in the sync directory taking up 4.4G, with over 800G still free on the drive.

When restarting the log fills up with "SyncDb: failed to execute query to save file info" entries

So as nice as this all promises to be, the memory management needs looking into :)

That sort of sounds like some sort of DB corruption, with a memory leak in the error path.

What happens if you try this the below on your *.db files ? (You need sqlite3 installed first)

I have a similar case where btsync is killed because of oom - see segment below from /var/log/messages.

The *.db file is 631Mb in size and it is NOT corrupt (I checked using @rdebath sqlite3 test above).

 

Any ideas what other checks and test I can do to identify the issue?

 

My setup is a Raspberry Pi, Synced 49GB in 307418 files, and I don't seem to have an issue disk space issues.
