Android App Autostart and Keep Running.

Loving btsync so far and has been the solution to several problems. However, one thing I would like to use it for is with somewhat non techie people as a way to sync androids camera photos. However, sometimes I find the app not to be running. EIther from a restart or for some reason it wont sync until I reopen it. This ends up being somewhat confusing to certain people and also theres a chance they will open the app after there computer is asleep.

What I would like is for the app to be ran as an autostarting service or whatever the android equivilent is.

Basically where unless forced closed the app is always running and always syncing. Even after the phone restarts.

If there is a way to do this I would appreciate knowing. Thanks.

I recently asked the same to support via the feedback option in Android. I got the answer that it's not implemented yet...so might come in a next release :)

If you have root access you might be able to fidle with the startup scripts yourself in the mean time...if not...then I am afraid you' ve to wait ;)

Yes, please. It's the only showstopper for me at the moment. I'm using BitTorrent sync on all my Android devices to backup my pictures, Titanium backups etc. And it's working fine, thanks! I'd love to use it on all devices in my family, but it's out of question that I'd got to explain to my wife, to my kids and to my mother that "you should look at this icon with arrows and if it's not there, please start this app etc ..." :).
