Is there a way that I can set it up so that it syncs to from my mobile to my pc, so that when I delete a file on the mobile it does NOT get deleted on the pc. This is handy due to space limitations on the phone. Currently if i delete on the phone it deletes on the pc.

There is a way to sync files from PC to phone, and do not propagate file deletion on mobile. You will need to generate read-only key on PC and link mobile using it. However in this case you will not be able to add files from mobile.

This is what I'm doing to allow access to my main sync folder on my phone. I have run into an issue though:

  • Download a file in BTSync
  • Delete the file from the phone using a file explorer
  • Go back to BTSync and wait for it to notice that the file is nolonger stored locally
  • Try to download the file again in BTSync, nothing happens

I think that the backup feature on btsync android app should be one-way sync only (phone-to-pc). It's not a real backup if backups get deleted on pc when I delete the files on android by mistake.

Would love an update addressing this issue.

It seems like such a simple concept, sync should mean it SYNC's files, backup should mean it BACKS UP files.  either change the name or fix the function.  I hope they can find a way to implement a true backup function- that would be very very useful.
